Usually it is not a problem but it also depends on the nation
I usually ask that the package be marked like I do as RMA so that it will not be questioned
I ended up having to swap out my PSU as the AX860i finally would not POST for more than 60 minutes before it shut down
Corsair sent my an HX1000i which has worked fine since.
Light on this one alternates red/green as the iCue monitors it.
I have an RM650 and the switching speed is close to the same in the HXi and Axi and even the old TX850V2.
Machines that are not bolted together properly can be a tad noisy which I handle with boxes of 1000 screws.
Loose wire need to be zip-tied down as well.
The HX and HXi are both compatible with type-3 and type-4 cables aside from the 2x12 which are slightly different due to voltage sense features.
My RM650 uses type-4 2x12 which is related to the sense signals used by the more modern motherboards.
I have an RM650 and it came with a pair of pigtail PCIe cables (the ones that have dual connectors) and my PSU has four 8-pin connectors along with three 6-pin peripheral connectors
evidently the earlier RM650x has one less than my PSU

grievances piling up fast
posts never come down, miranda applies for reason
i assume you unplugged everything for a minute to be sure its a cold start
The TX650w is an older model. The current RM650 (2019) is more efficient and would run your old Z77 fine until you modernize The RM750 and RM850 are also available and video card trends suggest a higher capacity has some advantages.
my review https://www.hardcoregames.ca/2019/05/28/corsair-rm650/
Amazon is bad due to the swarm of third party sellers which is why their operate the way they do
This is why I deal direct now with primary vendors who at least answer the phone.
I have the 750D and I have a 3 stack of disk cages. Makes for a large collection of drives.
I have an H115i CPU cooler which also pushes some air out the top but the rear fan does most of that work
