  1. could be a transient brownout was below what the psu needed if it's back to green (or alternating with usb connected for iCue) it should be fine
  2. Try the windows disk optimizer which can trim all the SSD products I own, all of them and I have a lot of different makes and models of SSD
  3. I was eying the MP400 for perking up storage for games
  4. That RAM is fine for AMD Ryzen processors. I do question the need for 128GB however.
  5. All I know is that digital miners are snapping up high rated power supplies galore to run their rgs I have 1000W: should be enough for now. Only have one RTX 2080 installed. Got 3 PCIe cards installed for various peripherals. I have the front of my box covered in USB front panel units
  6. As a matter of course I suggest using the latest BIOS as they tend to have most bugs fixed, most of the time
  7. I was going to suggest that windows can maintain M.2 SSD fairly good now and also they it can handle SATA SSD properly. Once a SSD gets past 50% of capacity it can slow down. The reason is the SSD is running out of places to put data. So the cache begins to erode and fill with data. Many motherboards have two or even three M.2 slots so leverage them with more SSD hardware to relieve the main system SSD
  8. This is not unique to Corsair as I have found many others who are slow to post specs etc AMD is more sensitive to RAM than Intel but with some fiddling almost any RAM can be coaxed into stability with custom settings
  9. PC power supplies are designed for air cooling so I cannot recommend drowning them in oil
  10. Only time I ever use the power switch is when I am servicing my machine and that is for electrical safety which is what the switch is for in the first place. ATX uses the 2x12 to signal power on/off
  11. I loathe the idea of finding a video card these days as they are indeed scarce The artifacts definitely are VRAM related Unlikely the PSU would hurt the video card, they are usually rock solid
  12. The fans are so quiet it's hard to tell and I am not into sticking my finger in to tell checking my data on the CX the fans are low RPM so if its not spinning at all then by all means click on the support link above arrange an RMA most of the model lines are now zero fan, CX is an older model
  13. not sure about some low end testers as modern PSU is designed for 0 loaw operation unlike the PSU in the old PC AT which had the first switching power supply
  14. i only had one psu die, ax860i which was replaced with my current hx1000i which not been a problem not many corsair psu units come up short, they are usually over designed to be safe
  15. that is typical and the fan is indeed thermally driven this is done to extend fan service life and reduce noise at idle
  16. some PSU testers have issues with extreme power supplies. if the machine boots fine then it should be ok. I have a carbon pile that can melt a PSU into the table I use it to prove the claims
  17. Not sure if that model can be retrofitted to be like the airflow edition which has 2 front 140mm fans stacked. I suspect that front mesh like mine should pop in place.
  18. Replacement surfaced and I installed it and so far it has survived longer than the first one that died after one reboot so far several reboots just to be sure it still present
  19. it seems that iCue cannot even do that properly I am a developer
  20. ML fans are not so good with water coolers, they are great for front and rear fans I have a H115i and my fans push air into the radiator and up out of the top of the rig The fans my H115i came with are still in use
  21. Not my best language but I take it that the link is broken for support? My website gets an unbelievable amount of traffic from Brazil too and my site is all in english so go figure?
  22. reset the BIOS and see if that clears up the problems
