LaserSight
My friend recently got me a new keyboard (Strafe RGB) but we noticed that every time I plug something in (headphones, mice, etc.) to my pc, all the lights on the keyboard turn red and I have to force quit the CUE app. How do I fix this? Toasted
Is Steam running in the background? if so, try closing it and plugging a peripheral device in. Does CUE still crash?
LaserSight
No, steam isn't open in the background. CUE does not crash, but I have to force close it for the lights to reset.
Corsair Employee Corsair Nick Posted January 23, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 23, 2018 Do you by chance have any profiles that are linked to any programs? Have you tried repairing or reinstalling CUE?

I don't believe I have it linked because I do not know how I would do that. Where can I check? I have tried to reinstall CUE.
Corsair Employee Corsair Nick Posted January 24, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 24, 2018 Do you have the devices plugged into a KVM or USB hub? If so, what happens if you plug them into your motherboard. Also try different stacks of USB on the motherboard. When you reinstalled CUE, did you keep your previous profiles? Regardless of where I plug in USBs or headphones, whether it be the motherboard or the case, the keyboard still turns red. And I did not keep my previous profiles when I reinstalled CUE. Rat_Lord
Regardless of where I plug in USBs or headphones, whether it be the motherboard or the case, the keyboard still turns red. And I did not keep my previous profiles when I reinstalled CUE. I basically had this same problem except i had a K68 keyboard and all my corsair gear would turn red no matter what if i plugged something in or out it would turn red. The fix that worked for me is disabling the SDK this has seemed to fix it for me anyways.

Any 3rd party application that controls RGB can potentially interfere with iCUEs control of it -- often disabling SDK can help, as you've found.
