  1. Been playing the remastered original Quake. The remaster makes the classic game work great and I have been playing the campaign plus expansions through again for the first time in god knows how long.
  2. I have the Katar Pro wireless model and it seems to work as expected
  3. I have G.Skill Flare X on my X570 and it works fine at DDR4-3200 which is the JEDEC standard. Not sure where JEDEC will be when DDR5 firms up. Corsair also has RAM that works with AMD fine. Faster RAM speeds run slower due to the AMD infinity bus on the CPU.
  4. I am assuming you are using iCue version 4.x
  5. I assume the power to the water cooler is connected snugly
  6. In the iCue 4 software there is an icon besides the usual windows controls, that can setup the options for what you want to show in iCue
  7. I noticed iCue 4 cannot see my Sapphire Toxic RX 6900 XT yet, when you get around to it GPU-Z shows it and it's not loaded with sensors like some GeForce cards I own
  8. Finally this evening the card finally surfaced so I guess it was slow through customs
  9. I tried that only to have it get swiped in transit, spent $2500 canadian on https://www.hardcoregames.ca/2021/07/13/sapphire-toxic-radeon-rx-6900-xt/ newegg in canada fumbled this badly
  10. most PC use 6-32 which has been around since day 1 on old chassis 5mm m.2 screws secured the dvd drive but now toolless designs dominate I have to use a screw on my Obsidian 750D as I have a USB box which does not get secured by the clips motherboard mounts are 6-32 as well by standard
  11. I have USB splitters but I have not found ones with supplemental power. The Commander Pro does have power which does have advantages. The H115i also has fan headers to the Commander Pro is not critical. This is why I went for Corsair parts as they seem to work fine together.
  12. I have been playing the Halo: Infinite multiplayer mode while I await the release of the campaign. Halo: Infinite is more demanding as it is designed for the Xbox Series X|S which is a bit of a nuisance. The problem game developers are facing is the prices of video cards are double to triple MSRP. I have an RTX 2080 and many games are pushing my card hard. Still the card is able to step up so I am not DOA yet. I play at 3830x2160 which is why my RTX 2080 works so hard. My Corsair AX1600i can handle the GPU boost requirements easily. Halo: Infinite releases Wednesday December 8, 2021.
  13. I have a commander pro stuffed into my rig. I also have a separate power cable to that unit and my H115i PRO RGB AIO water cooler. By using a single power cable to the Commander Pro and H115i I have as much power as possible to the hardware. This makes the hardware work well in my box and I use an MSI X570-A PRO motherboard
  14. AFAIK I am speculating that they are discontinued. Corsair would do well with a USB-C version to cope with the USB 4.0 which is now excepted with some AM5 motherboards.
  15. This is an advantage to the top mounted radiator that naturally allows any air bubbles to rise away from the pump. Front mounted radiators are more tricky to keep air bubbles away from the pump.
  16. On SATA specs before v2.3, that pin was supposed to be always powered even though the drives didn't use it. With 2.3, they chose to have it only be powered when you are restarting the drive. Up to version 3.2 of SATA, pin 3 of the SATA PWR connector was specified as 3.3V, but as of version 3.3,it was changed to a PWDIS (Power Disable) pin to improve compatibility with SAS. So is my AX1600i compatible with the latest SATA version and support the PWDIS?
  17. Looks autocorrect messed up another post My K55 is holding up fine with iCue 4 but I have a different wireless mouse that is not recognized at all by iCue
  18. I have the same K55 RGB keyboard and its irrelevant whose mosque you use. The Scimitar RGB Elite will work fine. I suggest using iCue 4.x and keep updating it
  19. I bought several baluns from fleabay and I found they did help a lot RF leaking. The PSU uses ultrasonic as the switching is super quick. Generally that is contained in the PSU and does not affect the hardware. Power cable baluns are more helpful to remove out of phase power.
  20. Prices are sane here in Canada but nothing is in stock.
  21. Lower prices are a dream with the mining craze that is running amok at present
  22. AFAIK the older water units can be bracketed but the thermal zones are a tad different so the water block may be at issue
  23. My fan on my AX1600i is on using a custom profile as I prefer it to be frosty cool I have otherwise happy with the AX1600i as it affords more options for power distribution and devices.
  24. when I play demanding games my video card can use upwards of 240W of power so having lot of reserve eliminates worry some cards i have in the box use even more power
  25. I have seen this before and the usual solution is to wash the hardware extensively to get rid of the crap which can foul pump shortening its service life
