  1. The solution didn't work for me too. The final solution for me was: - new Windows 10 installation - installation of Armoury Crate - update AC to latest version - install iCue 4 Now I can still update AC by first closing iCue, upgrading, rebooting before opening iCue again. Red triangle almost disappeared, I've seen it a couple of times in a month, rebooting fixes it. Not completely happy, I'd rather prefer dealing with the lighter Aura instead of the real heavy AC (but anyway I have enough PC power not to see the difference) but simply Aura did not work in the fresh installation of the latest Windows 10 release. 2. AFAIK there is no way at the moment to use custom dimension strip arrays with Video Lighting, unless they use the same exact number and kind of strips you see in the predefined setup modes like Double Monitor and Single UW Monitor. The fun fact is that both this setups involve the same strips (250 - 450 - 450 - 250 - 450 - 450), so they are just doubles... But they are also quite useless for UW monitors... I have a 34" curved monitor that is less than 90cm. in width, so if I'd install 2x450 on bottom and top, the strips would peep from the sides (and you have also to consider the space taken by the 250 strips). This is my actual setup, the one that best covers my monitor's back: But, as I said, I can't use it with Video Lighting, iCue does not offer the option. If I use Double Monitor or Single UW Monitor setups, Video Lighting option pops up and works for some time, then breaks and strips start to act weird. This is a long time ago reported problem, no official answer at the moment, only the promise of a fix in a next version of iCue but no luck so far. Quite upsettinmg to me, as I can see any reason why one can't use VL if the number of leds involved is less. Baio
  3. Unfortunately Corsair seems to care very little about this product... :(: Baio
  4. Many people also use the 2xQL fan setup... I tested it and works smoothy. Baio
  5. https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=206258 This thread may help someone while we wait some official post by Corsair. Baio
  6. Thanks for this post, I'm sure it will help a lot of users! Just a question... is the plugin mandatory to be installed or does it get installed automatically by iCue? I've recently installed Windows from scratch, then installed Armoury Crate (because Aura does no longer work with latest Windows updates) and iCue but didn't install the plugin standalone. I suspect the reason why Aura seems not to work anymore could be in me not installing the plugin... Baio
  7. Which support did you contact? Asus or Corsair? Baio
  8. Thanks for your replay... I'm so bad at DIY works that I prefer to wait... :D: Baio
  9. Ok for Lighting Service... this service must be installed and running (Automatic Start), whast about "ASUS SDK" Which services are needed to be running? I suspect the red triangle and RGB effect stuck on my RAM are caused by some Asus service automatically running at startup, because if I boot and get the red triangle, close iCue then start it again, it works fine. 10. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it very much. Not several questions indeed, just want to control my Asus motherboard via iCue. It should be something easy to do, but it turns out to be quite a nightmare. This I know. Maybe it's my bad english but what I've experienced about this point is that AURA is no longer working with latest Windows 10 updates, so AC is mandatory. And that's an ugly thing as it installs tons of unnecessary processes. But obviously it does not depend on Corsair, but maybe Corsair needs to update some sticky post even in this Forum. Again, maybe it's my bad english, but I never ment to run AURA and AC simultaneously. But in my rig iCue can't control Asus stuff even if AC is not running. So Corsair should state clearly what means with "AC must be installed but not running". I've it installed and not running, meaning that AC windows is not opened and no SysTray icon is shown, but there are a plenty of AC related processes running in my rig. Is this what you mean? If there is no another way, I'll open a ticket. And this is exactly what I'm doing at the moment... As I described in my above posts, after unsuccessfully trying to install AURA, I've installed AC and iCue4, nothing else in my fresh Windows 10 installation, just drivers. But here it comes the same question... what do you mean with "not running"? The software or its 23578934589 related processes? Seriously, Corsair should work with Asus to simplify this situation... I know that Asus does no longer support Aura, so if Aura does no longer work with Windows 10, we are forced to use AC, that is one of the most invasive softwares I've ever seen (it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to unistall it, it leaves tons of garbage active after uninstallation, forcing one to format and resintall OS). If iCue only needs "ASUS SDK and Lighting Service", please provide us with those 2 software packs and nothing else. Baio
  11. Still waiting for someone from corsair to answer in this thread... This is becoming really upsetting!!
  12. My pleasure. Yesterday spent an afternoon reinstalling Windows and the problem popped up again witn only a basic set of drivers and AC and iCue in my system. I was trying to solve iCue-ASUS issue, no luck for me... :(: Baio
  13. Just as the title... I know that Corsair NEVER leaks on an incoming product but.. Baio
  14. UPDATE: Yesterday I went to a complete formattng/reinstallation of Windows 10 Pro 64bit (USB stick made through Media Creation Tool). - Installed Windows - Installed basic drivers (chipset, VGA, LAN) - Installed all Windows updates avaliable (not driver ones) - Installed several versions of AURA (from v1.06 to the latest declared by Corsair to be compatible with iCue) => only AURA version 1.06 opens (without detecting the mobo anyway), so I suppose some Windows Update broke support for AURA - Removed AURA and installed Armoury Crate latest version, opened it and set all mobo RGB to black - Reboot and installed iCue v4 => everything was fine, both Corsair RAM and Asus mobo controllable under iCue. But this last for a couple of reboots, then suddendly RAM RGB stuck, red triangle again. Spent an afternoon reinstalling Windows and still the same problem. STILL WAITING FOR SOMEONE FROM CORSAIR TO ANSWER IN THIS THREAD... THIS IS BECOMING REALLY UPSETTING!! Baio
  15. Full control is avaliable only in iCue v3, in v4 there is no option as it's always on by default. But I don't think it's what causes the problem. Baio
  16. Tried also this but din't help. Still waiting for an official answer from Corsair. Baio
  17. Another hint that points in the direction of a Corsair's software/firmware problem.... Baio
  18. Same here, but different color. I solve unplugging and plugging back again both power and USB of the controller. Not a definitve solution, but it works... with latest version 4 of iCue the issue seemed solved but then came back again. No AURA or Armoury Crate installed in my rig at the moment. Hope it helps! Baio
  19. Thanks again, I've answerd in the other post... Hope it works. Baio
  20. So are you telling me that this mess wih iCue and AURA is simply a matter of which service run before and wichich after? I hope it's not so simple... months of troubles to be fixed in a so esy way feed my killer instinct. Thanks anyway, I'm gonna try ASAP. Baio EDIT: Tried, didn't help.
  21. Thanks to both for the replies, but I've alreay tried AC (without launching it) and didn't work (Asus mobo's control worked in iCue but I got red triangle on the RAM or effects stuck). What I can't understand is why the simple change of the CPU can bring a mess like this. Further more, AC installs (and executes at every startup) several absolutely useless processes, so I need a final word on this from Corsair... if the new version 4 has broken the support to AURA and AC is mandatory, then I'll **** all off and give up the idea of controlling Asus stuff through iCue. I'd also like to know WHY should be mandatorty never to execute AURA or AC. What the hell are those software supposed to do that iCue can't repair on the next boot? Forgive me for my anger, but I've spent too much time on something that is advertised by Corsair and does not work, or works untilli you change CPU. Baio
  22. Thank you (as usual)! Looking for Corsair to release a white version of XR7 radiator and then I'm gonna start! Baio
  23. I' ve been using iCue for a few months and was able to control my Asus motherboard untill today, when I simply upgraded my 3900XT to a 5800X. First boot, RGB was a mess.. RAM stuck and red triangle. Spent the whole day trying to install/unistall iCue version 3 and 4, AURA and Armoury Crate.. no way.. simply I have to choose between controlling my Corsair RAM OR my ASUS mobo within iCue. Often I entered iCue and the software was only seeing 1 RAM slot out of 4 (I'm using a 2x8Gb kit + a Light Enhancement kit). Corsair, PLEASE tell us what the state of the art is at the moment, which versions of the 2 softwares is mandatory to use, in which order are we supposed to install and how configure them. I'm so frustrated, spent a whole day at the pc and the result is I have to switch all mobo's RGB from BIOS to avoid the ugly raimbow from the mobo. PLEASE HELP ME TROUBLESHOOTING THIS ISSUE IN ANY WAY! Thanks. Baio
