LegenDairy
I have recently just switched from a stock fan cooling system to my new h60!! Once everything was installed, thermal paste and playe in place all attached I turned on my PC... Everything was fine for about 5 minutes. Now about 5 minutes after turning on my PC ever, it overheats! Yes pumps are working, plate is touching cpu perfectly and paste is set... One thing I noticed is that my radiator isn't heating up at all... Like at all, as if all the heat stays in the pipes, so maybe the pumps Arn't working as well as they should? And my pumps are at 4k rpm which indicates it is working... I'm at a loss, bios shows that my cpu goes from 50c (when I get to it in bios) to 84.4c within a few minutes, 84.4C is my overheat shut off point... StealthGaming
I would recommend to read my Unofficial Hydro Series Installation Guide (POST ID # = 768430) that was posted just yesterday to help other forums members successful mount their new Hydro Series Pumps. Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted March 26, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 26, 2015 Yeah, this sounds like an incorrectly mounted backplate (common problem). StealthGaming's guide will help.
