My pump works too slow

Recommended Posts

When I turn my computer on my h150i elite lcd pump works on only 100 rpm and my computer eventually overheats and shuts down. I can’t force my pump to work faster, please help.

I checked it again and when I turn my computer on everything turns on fans and the pump screen the iCUE software sees my pump and everything. However my pump makes weird noises like if there was little bit of air inside and the rpm jumps. I bought this pump around 2 months ago and I have the box and everything. I was away for 10 days and when I came back everything was good so I turned of my computer and updated it. Next when I turn it on and launch a game after 2 min I get the overheating alert and my computer starts lagging crazy I quickly open iCUE and see that my pump rpm is at 200 and it shuts down. Later I cleaned it and done some cable management I startup my pc everything is good and after 10-20 min while playing it starts again. Please tell me I don’t have to buy a new one.

The pump shouldn't be able to run at 100 rpm even if you could set that value.  Most often when you see an impossible value like this, there is a software conflict.  However, if the H150i Temp (coolant) shoots up as soon as you boot, the pump is making weird noises, then there may be something more to it.

If the pump is truly at 100-200 rpm, you have about 30 seconds until the PC shuts down and will be able to see the CPU temp go skipping upwards 50..55...60..65..  80..90..100.  However, it seems like this is sporadic?

Either way, these are not settings under your control so if the pump is going from functional to non-functional to functional and back and forth, there is an internal mechanical or electrical problem.  If you have local exchange options use them.  Otherwise contact Corsair Support through the ticket system to set a replacement through them.

Do you know how could this happen? And can I replace it with a different product?
