strafe rgb Removing keycaps and installing them

hello. I removed my keycaps to get clean my strafe rgb. When I tried to replace them, they were uneven. I tried many times. Is there a unique way to do this? because now I have an uneven keyboard. ill include a picture

Those (N, M etc) don't seem to be in all the way. Did you press them till they bottomed out?

Yes, i pressed all the way down on them

I probably have pressed them 9000 times

remove them and try again? Cant think of a reason why they would stick out like that

Press down on the key firmly while wiggling your finger on the key.

You just place the cap on the stem, and press down hard. Probably a lot harder than you think you should. You want to bottom the key out, then keep pressing to force the keycap down on the stem. Cherry switches are tough, you won't hurt them.

 

If you are pressing hard enough to flex the aluminum backplate and the keys still aren't going on evenly with the others, then you might have a defective switch or keycap (probably the keycap). But I'd guess you just aren't pressing hard enough.
