Nequleg
Hello everyone. :o: So, i got my new headset in the mail today, was excited to try them, but i was let down, because i had to charge them for four hours, bummer.:sigh!:oh well, i let them charge until the headset charge port turned green, and when they did i tried 'em on, they had a nice fit, though it presses slightly on the sides of my head which makes them noticeable, anyway that isn't my real problem... my real problem is this. The microphone is a busted piece of ****... :mad:if the mic is on there is a constant humming sound in the headset and as if that wasn't enough, there is an insane amount of crackling/static, but only if the mic is on. if i turn if off there is nothing, but hey who wants to have skype calls etc. without a microphone. also, i can hear my own breath when the crackling pauses for a second or two, which i though at first was the ''listen to this device'' thing, but it isn't. so my question is this, is there a fix for this? or am i a sucker for buying a wireless headset? other than that it's a good headset, but the cons heavily outweigh the pros. Toasted
Try the headset on another computer and see if the crackling noise is still there. Have you tried a different USB port?

kidlat020
someone said here on the forums about being "grounded". check your USB if it has a ground connected to it. Also try to avoid places where you could touch the ground or anything that is considered as a ground, electronically speaking.
