Frankievalli Posted January 5, 2009 Share Posted January 5, 2009 Here's the config I'm probably going with: Intel Core i7 940 Asus P6T Deluxe TR3X6G1600C8D (probably get the fan when it comes out) HX1000W 2 Western Digital Raptors for boot Raid 5 config of a couple of 1TB or 1.5TB drives Raid 5 I believe is only used with a minimum of 3 drives and has no real advantage unless your using 4+ drives as you loose too much space one drive is used as a reigster so 3 X 1TB drives Raid 5 = 2TB storage 4 X 1TB drives Raid 5 = 3TB storage and so on.
