mizifih
So, I'm looking for something like the one in the image below (not that one specifically), that would let me use more HDDs inside the case, and potentially cool them all better. http://i.imgur.com/IMl9GuB.jpg Did anyone here already (as properly as possible) expanded the amount of hard drivers one could use inside the Carbide Air 240? I love the case, I don't want to let it go just because it can't handle more HDDs. I don't want to use the SSDs slots for it, I will probably use them all at some point. Thank you folks :)
snapper69
I used an Icy Dock Vortex MB074SP-1B 4-in-3 3.5 inch SATA Hard Drive - Black, it allows you to install 4 HDD's into 3 x 5.25 bays. You can switch the individual drives off and the fan led off. It only requires 1 or 2 power connectors, but 4 Sata signal connectors. There's a cheaper version available if you don't need the frills. Interesting. Just to be sure, you used it on a Carbide Air 240, right? Maybe a 3x to 5x bay could work, right? I mean, if the 5x have the same size this 4x have. I guess that's doable. What do you think?
snapper69
No, sorry, I used i on a different case, but it will work on any case with 3 x 5.25 bays My apologies, I looked at the picture in your post and though that was the case yu meant, I can't see it working with an Air 240. Corsair Wizard
It might be a little large for an Air 240 case. If you happen to have the dimensions I would be able to assist you further.
