877cms
Hi, I currently have this 2 x 8GB kit installed in my Asus Maximus Formula X: VENGEANCE® RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18 Memory Kit" Part number CMR16GX4M2C3600C18. It seems to have been discontinued already! For the RGB PRO version? As I would like a matching kit, would I be ok to purchase another identical kit for my motherboard? VENGEANCE® RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18 Memory Kit £234.99GBP This would make 4 x 8GB = 32GB RAM Any issues with this? Thanks
Infernoken
Hi, nobody will be able to confirm that such combination can work, as the 2x or 4xDDR kits you buy have matched memory chips. Even when buying the 'same' sticks, there is no guarantee that the actual chips used are of the same revision or even the same brand (Samsung, Hynix, Micron,...) So you can try your luck and see if it works with a lot of testing... And send them back when it does not work, or just buy a new 4x8GB set and sell you current 2x8GB... I did not realise they were actually paired and tested like that, I think I will just buy a new kit when I have more free cash  Thanks
