PhantomTD Posted March 22, 2011 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Hi. I have just bought the Corsair SSD F160 (Firmware 2.0), and fitted it in my brand new Alienware M11x. I did a clean install of windows 7, AHCI is enabled and BIOS is the newest. This is the R2 version of the M11x with an i7 680UM cpu and 8 gigs of ram. My problem: Well, everything works, BUT: Defragmentation has not been disabled (It has with all my other SSD laptops) Windows WEI shows only 5.9, same as my old HDD (My other laptops are above 6) This is the benchmarktest: http://japanesecars.no/tempmagnus/ssdbench.jpg Anyone know's what may be the case here? PhantomTD Posted March 23, 2011 Author Share Posted March 23, 2011 Installed Win 7 Sp1 and talked to a "ssd" guru. New score was 7.4 in WEI after sp1. He also said that WEI can be faulty, and that it is no biggie if defrag is on after innstallation. Just turn it off and you' be ok. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
