terabyte
Hi everyone. I am a new owner of this mouse and just got this weird laggy unresponsive bugg of the mouse. Laggy/ no buttons response and light freezing. It seems there is not a fix yet but what i first did (except unplug/replug it because it is a pain in the *** to access at the back of my setup) is to flash it again in CUE. How ? you would say but the mouse clicking still work even it does not seem to. You have to press the button longer than just a click. That's my tip at the moment. Maybe someone already pointed it out anyway. I will try to investigate. :p The fix for this issue will be out next Monday (so in 2 days) according to Corsair James, just a few posts before yours. Wakem-stakem
Hate to tell all of you vut I have been having the same problem. I was bought the entire new set of corsair items,Strafe RGB keyboard,VoidRGB wireless headset, and Scimitar RGB mouse, and well every day at some point the mouse stops working. It has nothing to do with CUE due to the fact that i never open it unless i need to adjust something. SO that should eliminate that having anything to do with it. Then i unplug the mouse and plug it back in and it will work fine til when ever it decides to not work again. After being unplugged and then plugged back in the head set stops working even though its in a totally different usb port all together. I have tried every possible combination that you can think of. Im pretty sure due to the number of gamers that my gaming community has in it and the amount they have used these products that the summary is that the new corsair mice and headset blow donkey nuts.......PERIOD.....they seem to have the same problems all with different system builds all together and all having the same exact issues. The only thing that works properly in my build is my memory and my keyboard, but it has gotten to the point that since corsair chooses not to fix any of the drivers and these issues that Im just going to completely rip anything off of my build that even has the logo on it and evaporate it on the wall behind me at a very fast rate of speed. I have even tried tech support and tried getting a repair ticket to just talk to a real person that works for Corsair and it always says I have the wrong password or user name. HMMM funny how I am able to get on here and complain so evidently they have it set so you cant even talk to them to get this figured out. SO going back to my good old no problem having RAZER NAGA and Razer keyboard. Not wasting funds on these idiots again.
Cazadores666
I Just disabled the Lighting effects by clicking the box where you update the firmware for the device and it seems to have reduced the lag effects. It still does it but not as frequent. It was doing it to me almost to the point of throwing the mouse and smash it on the wall. Then grab the pieces, put them on a pan and melt them. Then making a dildo out of it and mail it to Corsair....:D: Just kidding Just kidding... But the temporary lag reduction still stands.
terabyte
As Corsair James mention just a few posts ago the stable version of the fix for the Scimitar will be out tomorrow.
Wakem-stakem
They better do something because it wasnt cheap and its a shame its a nice heavy mouse just sucks that you release an item before its software is perfected. Like I said ive tried everything you can do on the damn thing and its profiles and plugging it in different usb ports and all kinds of stuffand it still shuts off randomly...one day it wont and then the next it will like 6 times a day and never when im not doing anything just in the middle of a game when it actually matters. They better get their stuff together soon on their products or ill make sure everyone at my local Best Buy knows what kind of pathetic products that Corsair handles. Like I will actually sit in the store by the Corsair products and just non stop bash them with paper work in hand of all the bad reviews such as these to prove what kind of junk they actually produce...costing the same thing they cost all of us on worthless paperweights (money). Cazadores666
OK, The Update did fix the stutter/lag effect on the mouse a little. But, it still does it in DOTA 2. As I try to hover on spell icons it acts as if you were trying to put two magnets together on opposite poles. I hope you guys have more fixes to this. DrPineapple
after the update my CUE no longer detects my scimitar mouse at all, even though it says it has updated the scimitar firmware sucessfully.
TrapNBass
After Updating to the newest firmware and CUE version my device status changes to "malfunction" and i cant view the profiles tab, I've tried rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling, reverting to the previous version and updating from there. Every time CUE prompts me to update firmware and appears to do so but the status shows "malfunction" Logs:https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BweYaERn0LJ3UzNXSjY2d3YyRlk
spykexx
My scimitar has disappeared as well from CUE. It gave me the malfunction under status and literally disappeared before my eyes lol. Cannot use any macros, side buttons, middle buttons etc. Restarting does not fix
spykexx
Actually just realized mine will reappear into the devices, with a malfunction status, cycle through all the polling rates and then disappear again for a while. wtf.
strikn
I too also have the issue of my Scimitar not showing up in CUE after the patch today. Pc restarts, Re installation of CUE, USB port changes have all been tried and the problem still occurs. The scimitar device eventually shows up in the Settings>Device section of CUE with the Status:Malfunction.
Hoctar
I've had the same problem. Had the software tell me that my firmware update was a success and then finding out that CUE can't recognise my mouse now. Can't access the profiles at all anymore. Here's my log after installing the update. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1McQGPZ0bYIvphNj_JZLrXT8_09kaItU5M5RImNE2zio/edit?usp=sharing
