tempest301
I cant get my ram to boot at it's specified speeds. Once I go over 1333, it will blue screen/crash/wont post. I used the XMP profile 1 with the newest evga bio's. I've tried all sorts of voltages... doesn't help boot at 1866. Currently I have it at 9/9/9/24 1T at 1.65 V @ 1333mhz if anyone has gotten their system to boot at specified speeds, let me know! thanks in advance
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 21, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 21, 2009 The CPU you have may be limiting the Over clock, you can try over clocking the CPU and you should be able to get about DDR1600 at 1.65 Volts on the memory and 1.6 Volts on the QPI Voltage. tempest301
just an update, i've realized that everytime i try to go above 1333, the amount of ram detected during post goes down. it goes from 6gb to 4gb. perhaps tahts why i cannot go the speeds that i want to? idk, just wondering if that can be a problem for me... Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 30, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 30, 2009 When you do that try and increase the QPI Voltage to 1.4-1.6 Volts and see if that solves that issue.
