Corsair H100i-860i & Commander cooling Kit

Hello everyone,

Thanks for the help provided in regards of this 4 things

1: H100i

2: 860i

3:Corsair commander

4:Corsair cooling node

So far, i have been told to the following:

Once you connect the H100i to the Commander and the 860i as well, you connect the cooling kit to the commander, the other end is where the fans and the Sensors goes.

This is where it's get complicated:

You Start what this thread does:

Install the Corsair Linkl beta 1.2.7 beta software

Download the firmware update archive. CorsairLinkUSBFW_2.0.6.zip

After that, hopefully you can Install the lateast version of Corsair Link 2.3.4816 (Is this correct ? )

After this, i dont what to expect or do for that matter!

Should i upgrade the firmware of the H100i at all?

I have read that the shipping firmware is the Hydro Series – 1.1.12, as per this thread: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=105156

I just wish to have all information into 1 thread so i can follow up the do's and dont's.

Hope that someone can provide some information about the firmware for the h100i, the commander and the cooling kit, particular the timing.:o:

AS for the H100i, the shipping FW should be 1.05.

1.1.12 is for the previous generation H100 coolers.

I saw that thread before.

AFAIK that's only for upgrading the FW of the commander itself, how about the cooling node and the H100i?

Is there any need to update the FW of the cooling node and the h100i?

I have read somewhere that i cant upgrade the FW of the h100i if it's connected straight to the commander itself, needs to be connected to a free usb header.

By default, the shipping FW for the h100i is the 1.0.5, right?

Also says, that if the h100i is working as it should (i hope it will be) then you dont need to upgrade the FW, no worries.

How about the cooling node?

Should i flash the FW too?
