Andy_btn
I have the same need, I ran the correct FW updater tool (2.4) but it doesnt detect the drive. Is there anything else I can/should do? Thanks in advance.
Toasted
@Andy_btn Is AHCI enabled? Please fill out your system specs.
Andy_btn
Yes tried enabing, drive is still missing when I run the utility (it's my boot drive incidentally).
Yellowbeard
Andy_btn, can you list your system specifications and the EXACT drive model you have? Also, post a link to the firmware update download tool that you are trying to use.
Yellowbeard
Where can I find the suitable FW for this device? http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/2014/ssdversiyon.jpg Thanks. This is the wrong update tool for Force series drives. You need to use the tool from the Force 2.4 download link.
Andy_btn
Yep, well aware that this is the wrong tool - I only tried this after the right update tool failed to detect the drive (i.e as per the link http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100449) and in the absence of any other ideas. My eventual solution was to buy a new SSD as the old drive was on the cusp of being too small for Windows 7 so it was a good excuse to buy a replacement. Thanks for your help. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 21, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 21, 2012 If you were booting from the drive when you tried to update it I would try it as a second drive in the system and make sure that it is in AHCI and that you right clock on the application and run as administrator.
