Default Case Cooling Layout w/H80i

I am planning a build with the Corsair H80i, and I've heard many things about "push vs pull" and stuff like that. I have no knowledge of this stuff and if someone could help me out that would be great. Basically what my question is what is the ideal fan placements with an H80i, should I have top fans mounted? Should they be exhausting or pulling? Which fan direction is pulling or exhausting?

First post ever..

the h80i comes with 2 fans. one fan is fitted each side of the radiator so it will be configured as push/pull. see link below

intake fans pull air into the system
exhaust fans push air out of the system.
corsair recommend you have the fans set up as intake.
I have my h100i set up as exhaust.

Ours are exhaust with positive pressure in the case provided by other fans. It never made sense that it would be a good thing to keep generated heat inside the case. It's been extracted from the CPU, get rid of it. So I tested:
