killer121
hi guys so i have just got a new h60 in my system with a asus z77 board n a 3770k I have connect the 3 pin power connector onto one of the board's 4pin fan header i was wonder should i turn the "Q- fan" controller on or off on the 4pin header, so that it will ramp down when idle or running at full speed. will lower rpm benefit the life of the product or should i just set it to run 100% anyway? Thank guys

peanutz94
You can lower it just a little. But no more than say 90% or your going to reduce the cooling capacity of the cooler.

Thank guys Just connect the pump to the 3 pin power connector and not to the 4 pin chas-fan 1 on the MB so it will run at full rpm because the power header is not controlled by the Asus Q-fan controller. I do not hear my pump at full rpm.
