Alexizaur
Hello, a few weeks ago I've built my own PC, but I'm having problems with it. When I'm playing games my PC crashes and the screen is just frozen but all the LEDs,fans,etc... are working inside the case. BUT, when I'm playing and my PC crashes I just turn it on again and start playing my game again and sometimes my game runs perfectly fine for a long time, this problem is only occuring when I'm playing certain games such as Guild Wars 2 and sometimes Minecraft(Tekkit). My friend told me that it is a RAM problem and suggested me to run Memtest, I did but only 2 passes(I was short on time) and it didn't find any problems, and Microsofts RAM diagnostics tool didn't find any problems either. Can you please suggest me what to do ? I truly have no idea, but I think it's the RAM that is causing the problem, how to fix it? Thanks for your help! :o: MY RAM : Corsair Vengeance 2x4Gb (CMZ78GX3M2A1600C9)
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 15, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 15, 2012 The first thing to do would be to check that you have the latest MB BIOS version and that you loaded setup defaults and enabled XMP. If you still have problems please test the modules one at a time with http://www.metest.org to be sure one is not failing or weak,.
