Engmod
Guys, 7 days with 2 boots per day and all going well. I recommend that everybody with problems looks for a bios upgrade, it looks to be the fix. Cheers Derek

Engmod
Bad news this time. Been testing for one month since the bios upgrade. At this point the drive disappears about once a week. To get it back I have to:- do a bios reset, or remove the power plug (from the drive) and replug WITH the power on. I have trawled the motherboard forums for any defects to do with the R series and I have found none. I have trawled any ICH10 related problems and cannot find any that relate to an R120 At this point I believe I have a defective product. Over to you guys. Yellowbeard
Try the new firmware in the SSD Firmware section. Also, the Gigabyte F7x beta BIOS is supposed to correct issues with the SandForce drives. You may want to try it if the 2.0 firmware does not resolve your issue. Engmod
Hi Yellowbeard, I have a reactor series drive with a Jmicron 612 controller. Cheers Derek
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 4, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 4, 2010 I would suggest the latest BETA BIOS from Gigabyte, I think the problem was noted with a sandforce controller but can have issues with any SSD drive. Engmod
I have F7x installed, but no change to the 1 week drop. Cheers Derek
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 4, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 4, 2010 You would need to check with Gigabyte and get the BIOS from them its not on the formal web site.
Engmod
I have checked http://www.station-drivers.com/page/gigabyte/ga-x58a-ud7.htm for the latest bios. Only a Sandforce issue has been mentioned. Cheers Derek

Engmod
Hi Wired, I downloaded the FB5 bios, but it would not apply saying its the wrong type. I have a rev 1 copper, and the FB5 must be for rev 2 copper. So I have the latest bios. Cheers Derek
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 5, 2010 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 5, 2010 I would suggest you contact the MB maker for help with their BIOS.
