MilhouseVH
I'm looking to build a new system here in the UK, based on the MSI P55-GD80 and i7 870 with 8GB of 2000Mhz memory. I've been looking at the Dominator GT 4GB kit (2x 2GB, CMG4GX3M2A2000C8) which is compatible with the P55-GD80, however what I would like to know is whether I will experience any problems running two of these kits at 2000MHz? If so, is a "quad" kit (4 x 2GB) likely to become available with 4 matched modules any time soon? Finally, does the fan attachment work with 4 modules of Dominator GT memory? I get the impression it may only be designed to work at most with the triple channel kit (ie. 3 modules, not 4). Many thanks in advance!
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 29, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 29, 2009 I doubt you will get two kits to run at full speed maybe DDR1600 or maybe DDR1866 depending on the CPU you use.

I see the 8GB (4x2GB) 1600MHz CMD8GX3M4A1600C8 kit is now available in the UK from scan.co.uk so I'll probably get that instead, at least it will be certified to hit 1600MHz reliably which should be more than sufficient at the end of the day. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 2, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 2, 2009 Yes that would be the best choice if you want 8 Gig.
