Using a Y cable For MSI 3060TI Ventus 2x

Recommended Posts

Ive just brought myself an MSI RTX3060ti Ventus 2x and noticed that it needs 2x8 PCIe.

However, Im rocking an Corsair 550w bronze PCU which has a built in 8pin PCIe with a 6+2PCIe Y extention.

Now im wondering is this will be alright to use due to the GPU having a max input of 200w but i do know running a Y cable is not the best idea, however im forced unless really needing to upgrade.

I do play heavy gpu intense games such as Red Dead 2 and forza.
Plus, i do overclock so would it be a good idea doing so or just leaving it?
