H100i does not get lower than 2300rpm

Hello

I have an Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard.

I have every motherboard software and drivers installed.

My Corsar WC H100i, is always on 2300 rpm. I try to put it on silent, on BIOS, but it is always working at too much speed. It does a lot of noise. I bought a Corsair Obsidian 550D, because it was supposed to be silent. But this WC H100i is making too much noise.

I have set all my fans to 500 rpm, to be silent. But the H100i is always at 2300rpm. I tryed going manual, on BIOS, but everytime I try to choose a lower speed than 100%, it automatically corrects the value to 100%.

I have Corsair Link installed, but it does not even detect my H100i, as you can see in the print screen:

Could you help me please? It is making too much noise. I enjoy things silent.

Hmm, could you please explain to me, how can I do that? :x

I have checked inside the box and saw that my H100i has just one open space, for connection, on the upper part. Is that the missing thing that I have to connect?

Thank you for your help.

This is how my H100i looks like:

The corsair link usb is connected

The other cable is connected to the 2 H100i fans, I think.

I have this cable left, don't know what to do with it.

Could you help me please? I am not seeing what to connect and where now. I have read the guide, but still don't understand, sorry. :(

The left over cable is for a second set of fans.

Disconnect the Y splitter cable from the top of H100i block and connect it to the other slot next to it.

It seems the cooler is not detecting your fans, make sure the Y splitter cable is firmly in place.

If you are using Link and have trouble lowering the H100i Fans speed,

you need to reboot and go into your Asus Bios and:

Disable Q-Control of all your fans (set each fan to "Ignore" Q Control)

as your MB over-rides the Corsair Link.

(the Asus Bios Q Control has its own aggressive fan curves for all the fans and sees the H100i and its fans as just a CPU fan). If the enabled Bios Q Control wants to run the fans at 100%, the Link cannot lower the speed. That is why you want to use Link for your fans and H100i and not use AI Suite 3 Fan Expert or the Bios to control your fans.

I have set, all Asus Fan Speed Control to ignore. But still, the H100i does no show up on corsair link, as you can see on the pic I have just uploaded.

Hello

I have made this regedit change:

Also, on BIOS I have put the USB Legacy Support on disable.

Removed and reattached every h100i cable.

Uninstalled Corsair Link. Rebooted. Installed Again.

It is working now:

The desktop is very silent at the moment!

Thank you for all your help. :)

Problem solved!
