Administrators Technobeard Posted July 9, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 9, 2016 http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hxi-series-hx750i-high-performance-atx-power-supply-750-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-psu The main tab says: 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency and Zero RPM Fan Mode mean that at low to medium loads, the fan doesn’t spin at all. And when you do push the HXi hard, the thermally controlled fan spins only as fast as it needs to. Under the Tech Specs tab you'll find this: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/~/media/36C6A533F5994E48B3EF5305A09CCC80.ashx?w=625 In otherwords, you'd need ~300W load and/or higher temps in order for the fan to kick on. ACP
whats your ambient temp? I have the hx850i and at 26 degrees ambient the psu stays at 35 degrees but while gaming it climbs to about 47-50 degrees and then the fans will kick in at 500rpm to bring the temp back down to 35 degrees
