  1. Hi I am pretty new to PC building and this forum so I am sorry if this is the wrong place for this. I was wondering if this wiring setup would allow me to control all the fan speed / RGB lighting of the 7 fans. Thank you.
  2. I was fully upgrading my pc and I needed new fans because I changed my power supply since I got an rtx 3070 ti. I have a 750 w power supply, but only one fan spins? I have plugged everything in for leds and they work great however only my top fan wants to spin. Even when I plug the other fans into different places on the motherboard for where fans go the others don’t work. I know for one this is not a fan issue, because right when I installed them all of them turned on and were running but after that they never did again. I’m wondering if I don’t have enough power output to them, but I have no clue how to chnage that or if it’s truly the problem.
  3. Hey guys.. When I checked my unit BIOS settings I noticed that there was 2 fans 1 for the CPU and it was set to PWM The other was for the system and was set to DC Also when I click optimize default, it chooses these types for each fan Should I manually change them to match types or these types are correct? I'm asking because I'm having issues with my fans not spinning at all whatever the work I do Thank you
  4. Try not to focus on my artistic skills, the non-existent attempt to scale things according to real-life, and the fact that I didn't put the fan cables side-by-side. lol ML refers to ML140 Elite fans. Could be QL140 too. PINK for RGB cables and slots. RED for fan cables and slots. YELLOW for USB cables and slots. TL;DR: Will everything work fine if I follow the illustration above? I'm getting myself some new fans and light strips as soon as the Lian Li O11 Air Mini is available in Brazil. I have no idea where I should begin when it comes to the accessories needed to achieve my goal, so any help would be appreciated. I already have two ML140 Elite fans from my H115i Elite AIO and I think I'll buy another 4 because they seem to be more durable than something like an LL140 or QL140. I might change my mind and get 4 or 6 QL140. I'll have 2 front intake, 2 bottom intake, and 2 top exhaust fans (for my radiator), all 140 mm. I'm not counting the 120 mm rear fan because I'll use a discrete non-RGB fan there, or maybe even an LCD monitoring screen instead of a fan. As for the light strips, my plan is to set an LS100 450mm strip at the top and the other at the bottom, so that's why I wouldn't daisy chain them. I have the Commander CORE that came with the AIO, but not the Commander PRO. I guess I could get a Lighting Node PRO instead, but the Commander PRO would allow me to add extra fans if I ever need to. These are the main questions I have: Would the LS100 Expansion Kit 450mm strips work without the LS100 Starter Kit? Corsair's website says the LS100 Starter Kit is required for some reason, but I'm hoping they will work with the Commander PRO alone since I don't really need 4 strips and another controller. Can I connect the Commander CORE USB cable into the Commander PRO USB slot? If so, is there any difference between this and connecting each controller into a different USB 2.0 slot in the motherboard?
  5. Today I applied the regular windows 10 update KB5008212, and then my iCUE 3 software didn't recognize my i200 PRO as device anymore. I used the newest 3 with no effect. I was not able to de-install the security update ... and found me in a critical situation because without fan control I can't keep my system cool (only the emergency hardware fan control is then available which kicks in far too late). The only way out was upgrading to iCUE 4, even though the download/support page of i200 PRO says to use iCUE 3. It seems to work now and my PC is cooling down again from already 80C motherboard and 58C coolant temperature. But I noticed that my SSD is not recognized anymore, not mission critical but a drawback. I don't want to have that experience ever again ... and following questions: 1. Is using iCUE 4 safe for i200 PRO series? 2. Is there any way to set the hardware fan speed curve (without iCUE) to anything else than the most lazy? My default software setting is 60% fan speed flat to keep my coolant temp below 45C. 3. How can I get back monitoring temp of my SSD?
  6. Hey everybody, yesterday I bought a Corsair iCue 220T RGB Glass Case, 3x SP120 Pro fan and 2x LL120 fan. To control the fans and LEDs I use a Corsair Commander Core XT. My problem is iCue 4 can't control the fan speed. The SP120 are locked around 600-800 RPM and the LL120 are locked around 1400 RPM. (But the LED control works fine.) I've read many forum entries and tried a lot. For example, user-defined presets, restart, reinstallation, updates, delete settings from AppData, etc. Unfortunately, nothing helped... Maybe someone had the same problem and maybe they can help me. Thanks in advance! Greetings Critical My PC MB: ASUS Q87M-E PS: be Quite 550W 80Plus Platinum GC: NVIDIA RTX 3060 RAM: 16GB [4 x 4GB] Processor: Intel i7-4790K HD: 4TB [2x 500GB HDD(WD) ; 2x 500GB SSD (Samsung, WD)] Fan: 3x Corsair SP120 Pro 2x Corsair LL120 Controller: Corsair Commander Core XT
  7. Corsair One Pro 2017/18 i7700K 1080ti Recently I had to do a fresh install of Windows 10 due to a dieing m.2 drive. Everything is working fine after downloading drivers including Corsair Link. However.... the fan curve is now non-existant. It is either 400rpm or running at absolute max and doesn't do anything in between. Internet browsing, youtube and low demand games are fine but as soon as a moderate load hits it ramps up immediatly to max fan speed? How do I fix this?
  8. Hey Corsair Community, I seem to be having a problem with my Corsair QL120 Fans. I have them set to all white in iCUE and it's been working perfectly until one day one of the fans had a LED stuck on purple. I tried everything that I could to fix it but couldn't. I RMA'd it for a new one and that was a success. Now another two of my fans are now having the same issue. Has anyone else got this problem? Would anyone know a fix or am I looking to RMA the fans again? See attached photos. Thanks, Beauzinga
  9. Hello, Recently, I noticed that when I startup my PC, only 1 of my 4 LL fan's lighting will turn on right away, and it takes the other 3 fans about 10-15 minutes before the lighting turns on for the rest. I haven't been able to figure out why that is. The fan that turns on right away is port #1. To be clear, all the fans spin properly, it's just the lighting that is having an issue. I'm fairly new to PC stuff, any help is appreciated! I have two LL120 fans and two LL140 fans.
  10. Hey there, I recently built a new machine (been in the PC space for about 8 years, but never built my own machine) and in that order I bought a single LL140 because, primarly, it was on sale, but also because of its RGB. I didn't do any research, and assumed I'd be able to use an RGB header on my MB. I was wrong. Fair enough, but I was wondering if I need to buy both the Commander Pro and the controller for one fan, or if just the Commander Pro is sufficent for one fan? Cheers!
  11. PSU is Corsair AX1200i. Is this situation from topic title normal? Shoud fan always spin on self-test button pressed? I run self test while only 230v power cable connected to PSU. No any other cables connected. PSU lies on dielectric wooden clean office table. P.S. I know instructions manual says fan should spin on self-test button pressed, but why test status LED shows green light then if fan failed to spin on start? It is obviously not "green" situation.
  12. Hi All, I have a h150i elite cappelix, which I want the fans to be managed by the commander pro. Obviously I still need the commander core to wire up the pump. So see my design below. I have a 5000X case. What I did is: - removed the PWM fan controller included in the case --> wired it up to the commander PRO - Used the commander PRO as the FAN controller for the H150i fans - Connected all casefans and H150I fans to the RGB hub included with the case - Connected the Pump to the commander core So my concrete question is: Will the H150 elite cappelix setup work with this setup? Or do I have to connect the fans and RGB to the commander core in order to get it working?
Wenn ja was könnte helfen? Ich bin verzweifelt. Wenn man von oben in die Büchse schaut, dann sieht man andere farbige LED leuchten. Was ist das denn? Viele Grüße und besten Dank im Voraus
  14. I recently built a PC and don't have much experience with using fans as it is the first time I have ever done such a thing. For some reason my back fan is running at max speed and I am unable to change it through the icue software app. The fan is currently plugged into a controller along witht the other 5 fans i have. I have tried plugging it into the motherboard but the same issue remains but it loses its RGB. The fan having the issue was a separate fan (2 are part of the water cooler and 3 came with the case) so im unsure if the fan itself is fauly or if it is another issue. Any help would be appreciated.
  15. I did not seem to have an issue with installing and running the software. I do have a question about what the different temp numbers refer to. Also, Temp #11 runs from 70c to 94c at any given time. This is why I would like to know about the Representation of the widgets. Thank you. EDIT: My fan for the GPU does run all the time. It does not appear to show on this display unless there is an increase from the base idle speed which is unknown.
Tous fonctionne a fond ! Merci
  18. I’m about to buy an HX750i for a new build, but I’m concerned about both proper cooling and silence. The reason for my concern is that my case is Fractal Design Define 7 Compact. It has a PSU “shroud” shelf at the bottom. There are perforations, but I imagine it’s still suboptimal to have obstructions to PSU intake, especially since hot GPU/case air will be further obstructed by the perforated shelf. It makes the most sense to flip the PSU with fan on the bottom, where there is a nice dust protection mesh and the tallest case feet I’ve seen to date. As I understand, HX750i will heat up more facing down, and the fan might kick in louder. Can I set a custom curve in iCue to not start at zero RPM, but at 20% RPM and up from there? Does anything other than default curve end up being a static duty cycle number for any load?
  19. Im going to do some painting on my AIO, its currently black and i have painted one before with great success but I want to know if it is possible to remove the fan blades from the QL/LL fans so I just have the frame, so I can paint the frame without possibly painting over the fan blades that diffuse the RGB. I have watched a few videos on Coolermaster fans or Thermal take fans, being able to quite simply pop the blades out, I am not sure if the LL/QL series fans are mag lev or ball bearing, or fluid, I have never taken fan blades apart but I'm pretty sure the type of bearing determines if they can be taken apart simply or not. If anyone has any info on if this is possible or if I should should take a safer approach and just hand paint them. much thanks in advance!
  20. Ive searched through and found multiple posts showing multiple ways.. honestly I got overwhelmed and confused as a first time builder. Long story short.. I'm looking at a 9 fan for sure.. probably 10 fan set up. with possibly LED strips (not 100% committed to the strips though) Specs for my set up: Case: Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RMx 850w Gold CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX 75 CFM 360mm Fans: 3 ML RGB WHITE PWM 120mm (included with CPU Cooler) (2) 3-Pack QL120 RGB WHITE PWM 120mm 1 QL120 RGB WHITE PWM 120mm
  21. Hello, I bought a corsair 4000x and inside I found that there was a commander pro so I decided to use it with the 3 fans that were included in the case and one I bought myself and added at the back. I have a problem: when I am not doing anything with the pc it is really quiet but as soon I try to do something like opening chrome or even moving the mouse, the fans start to spin really fast and become very loud. I have the quiet profile set in icue software and the temp is the cpu one. Please help this is my first pc and this thing is really stressing me out :(:
  22. Hello, I have a Corsair Crystal 570X case that I have installed 6 LL120 fans into (3 in the front, 2 attached to a Corsair h100iv2, and 1 rear exhaust) that I am having trouble with. They are all working properly and the RGB cycles through in order but I can no longer find them using the iCUE software and therefore I cannot control the RGB for. I first noticed the issue once I removed the little controller that was at towards the back and on the back side of the case (thinking this only allowed controls through the case itself with the buttons on top.) I have a commander pro as well but I never installed it as I did not need it prior to having this issue once I removed the controller that was pre-installed. (I was also trying to minimize cables in the case as I have an NZXT HUE+ and an extra USB hub inside the case. My main question is would removing the pre-installed fan controller have caused an issue where iCUE can no longer detect any devices in my PC (6 LL120 fans along with an h100i) iCUE is up to date as well on update 3.37.140 Thanks for any insight.
  23. I have two NVME's with windows installed on them. The older one has iCue and everything is working just fine. The newer windows install has iCue running and I can't configure the fan profiles correctly because it keeps losing a connection to the fans, hydro x pump etc. The Performance tab pops into existence and then out of existence. Since everything is rock solid when I boot to the other NVME I know it's not a hardware issue. Instead it's some kind of USB communication problem I'd guess? Any thoughts on how I can fix this? I was about to (painfully) install windows again on the new NVME, just after getting everything setup, to try to fix this problem.
  24. Hi all, I just built my rig and have the h100i aio mounted at the top. I wanted to buy an SP120 rgb pro fan to replace my regular 120mm exhaust fan so I can use the same rgb. Does anyone know if it's possible? The h100i comes with two RGB connections that go directly into the aio fans, but I wanted to find out if I can use an rgb splitter for one of them so I can connect the exhaust fan to use the same rgb. I saw the RGB splitter on pirate dog tech so I wanted to be sure. Thanks
  25. I put a new system together, and have 2 fans that came with the H100i and three fans that came with my Corsair case. I connected All of the fans to the node core that came with my H100i. In the early stages of setting up my system, I noticed the 3 fans that came with the case ran a lost faster compared to the 2 that came with the H100i. I said, oh well, I know (or think I should be able to) control these fan speeds in iCue. Once I installed Windows and everything else, in iCue, sure enough, the 2 fans that came with the H100i were running around 350-400 RPMs and the 3 fans that came with the case were all humming at 1300-1450!! The all had "Balanced" profiles - which I would think would make them run approximately at the same speed...but apparently not. I did tons of research, watched some videos, searched this forum, and tried to create a custom Profile and curves, and even tried to just pick one of those case fans and set to a specific RPM, but I cannot seem to get these fans to behave. When the system is just sitting there idle, the 2 fans that came with H100i nicely run at 300-400, but the other case fans ALWAYS are at 1300-1450 and are rather noisy and annoying. Why can't I get finite control over these fans? I figured that since I have ALL fans (which are all Corsair fans) connected to the node core, that I could do all the tweaking I want...but I can't seem to get it to work. Very frustrating. Hany help/pointers? Greatly appreciated! Here is a quick screenshot of what I see. https://imgur.com/LTA4VFS
