yuel_beast
Hey guys, first time posting on here. This is my Ryzen 1700x Open Case Hybrid scratch-case I built for work. Practically, it was designed to be a cad workstation, but has evolved into more of a showpiece than anything else. http://i.imgur.com/EYFiRu1.jpg?1 The goal of this project was to create a universally functional case while maintaining the smallest form factor possible for an ATX motherboard. Additionally, I also wanted it to be aesthetically pleasing, but not too over the top. The fabrication and prototyping for this took over 60 hours, and was complicated by its unique design. While I am extremely happy with how the case turned out aesthetically, I am even more proud of how I was able to get the GPU & CPU to thread seamlessly through the case without the use of custom loops. The GPU Shroud, while a late edition top the build, also turned out very well (the shroud should work with any seahawk 1070, and probably the 1080's as well). I really like how it lets the led strip shine through, and makes the card appear like it is floating. Let me know what you think! This project took ALOT of time, and even as a professional fabricator, was more difficult than I initially anticipated. I tried to include pictures of the fabricating and machines, but found it pretty difficult to work the machines and take pictures at the same time.. maybe I will make another case (same one) later with pictures of the fabrication process and machinery.
