ScaryDoor Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Hello, I recently purchased a HX650 PSU, and after installation I found that the fan runs at full speed constantly. From start up to shut down, it's spinning at full power. This is quite noisy and I'm sure not working as intended, so here I am asking for help. The fan control doesn't seem to be active. I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere, I searched the forum before posting but I admit I didn't do the most thorough job. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As a fail safe, most PSUs with thermostatically controlled fans will go full RPM if the fan controller fails.
