CryWolf
Hi guys, Yesterday I noticed a warning on "HD Tune Pro" telling me that my SSD have 264 Reallocated Sectors. I found that really strange, because this SSD have only 5 months of use. So I checked the information with other 3 programs (HDD Regenerator, Disk Check Up and Corsair SSD Toolbox), and they all informed the same issue, 264 Reallocated Sectors or Retired Blocks. I didn't know much about this subject, but after a search on the internet, i came to the conclusion that my SSD condition is not good, it shouldn't have that much reallocated sectors so early. So I think I have a problem here. What should I do? This kind of problem is covered by the warranty? Here are the screen shots of the programs: http://uploaddeimagens.com.br/imagens/corsair_ssd_toolbox-jpg http://uploaddeimagens.com.br/imagens/disk_check_up-jpg http://uploaddeimagens.com.br/imagens/hd_tune_pro-jpg http://uploaddeimagens.com.br/imagens/hdd_regenerator-jpg Please, help me... P.S: My SSD is a Corsair Neutron GTX 240gb.
Toasted
As you see in the Corsair SSD Toolbox, The blue dot indicates it for information only. Are you experiencing any problems with the SSD? e.g. slow boot, programs start slow, freezing, BSODs, etc.
CryWolf
As you see in the Corsair SSD Toolbox, The blue dot indicates it for information only. Are you experiencing any problems with the SSD? e.g. slow boot, programs start slow, freezing, BSODs, etc. I know that the blue dot indicates that it is for information only. But ins't 264 Reallocated Sectors / Retired Blocks too much for a 5 to 6 months SSD use? About the performance, I noticed a little drop on the SSD speed, not too much, so I tested it with some programs (ATTO Benchmark, AS SSD and CrystalDiskMark) and compared it with Legit Reviews results on the Corsair Neutron GTX 240gb review (http://www.legitreviews.com/corsair-neutron-gtx-240gb-ssd-review_2067/4) My test results: http://www.imagebam.com/image/1d2e81291270390 http://www.imagebam.com/image/11589c291270385 http://www.imagebam.com/image/bd6f3e291270417 As you can see, my SSD performed worst than the Legit Reviews results, specially on the write, 512k, 4k, 4k QD32, 4k-64Thrd and Access Time test. From my point of view, my SSD card is not performing as it should. What is your opinion? Do you agree? Thank you for your attention and help. :)

CryWolf
What's the part number on your SSD? Hi Technobeard, It took me some time to get to it, but here is my SSD Part Number: CSSD-N240GBGTXB-BK. What do you need it for? (don't wanna sound rude, I'm just curious). Yellowbeard
It's normal for any device with NAND flash to have bad sectors. It's the nature of flash. Your SSD has extra space reserved for managing bad sectors. Keep an eye on your SSD and check it again in about a month. If there is no significant change in this number of sectors, this means that the firmware and the controller are doing what they are supposed to and your SSD is fine. You have the newer B version whereas the one in the review was the original version. Can't recall the difference off of the top of my head, but that would probably account for the difference in the ATTO tests.
