HermitKrab
i'm sure the problem is just that i don't know what i'm actually doing, i'm not the tech-savviest guy around. xD anyway, i want forward/back to increase/decrease the volume of videos/music (i'm assuming that's how it's supposed to work), and button 8 to mute. like so: http://imgur.com/a/RshsJ as you can see, everything's assigned where i want it. however, when i press those buttons, they don't do what i want. they still only go forward/back when browsing, and button 8 does... nothing at all. it's frustrating, please advise. Toasted
Based off the screenshot you may have multiple profiles in CUE. Make sure the profile is assigned to an application or the default profile (Move the profile to the top of the list). It also sounds like you want the ability to use the multimedia keys in browser based players e.g. YouTube. You may want to look into Streamkeys. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/streamkeys/ekpipjofdicppbepocohdlgenahaneen?hl=en

HOW do i assign the profile to an application or the... default profile? (itself???) that's very vague. i'll check out "streamkeys", but i don't exactly know how this is relevant to my mouse. thanks. HermitKrab
umm, SO! the mouse buttons are now increasing/lowering/muting the volume as i've bound them to do, but i'm still confused. it seems to have just worked overnight? like after putting my computer in sleep mode?? or closing the CUE??? i'd like to know what triggered this at all. Toasted
CUE needs to be running in the background for the actions to run. I'm not too sure what change triggered the change. Do the actions work after a Sleep/Wake or restart?
