  1. Just to follow up on this, I believe the issue may have been fixed afterall in a recent build of iCUE. For me at least. I've done further testing, and worth noting I had just updated to the most recent build of iCUE 5 a week or two ago (I tend to hold off on updating iCUE as soon as an update is released as occasionally other problems arise from doing so). I have re-enabled the Service, and the popping/stutter issue appears to have been resolved. My only guess is this was due to the most recent iCUE update, as the issue was most certainly present not too long ago prior. I don't believe I've updated any other components since then. I'll keep an eye on things incase it's a temporary fluke.
  2. A very detailed report submitted! Ticket # 2006951970 Cheers.
  3. I'm awfully sorry. I don't really frequent the forums so only seeing these follow-up posts now! I've never opened a ticket unfortunately. I just went about trying to diagnose it by myself and realised that the specific service "Corsair Gaming Audio Configuration Service" was the issue. If it helps I could provide some sort of system spec snapshot if it would still be beneficial? Obviously disabling this service disables the iCue audio component so any EQ settings in iCue will no longer work. This is fine for me as I use Equaliser APO for my EQ and not the iCue one anyway, but I realise this won't be the case for everyone.
  4. Sorry for the late reply. Excellent! I'm super happy that this workaround sorted the issue for you aswell! 😁 Yeah I've absolutely no idea what the service is for, other than causing issues apparently!
  5. Ah understood. That makes sense! I have both the HS60 Haptic headset and ST100. I don't use any of iCUE's audio settings, EQ or anything like that. (I use Equaliser APO), so disabling it in order to get rid of the glitching doesn't affect my audio... thankfully!
  6. Hi folks, just throwing another solution to this stuttering/popping audio issue many of us have been having. Copy and pasting my reply from my other thread on the issue... The audio faults are all caused by the "Corsair Gaming Audio Configuration Service" service. (Service name: "CorsairGamingAudioConfig"). Stopping/Disabling this service fixes the problem. Please note, stopping the service mid-game won't immediately fix the issue. You'll need to restart the game. I've disabled the service altogether and everything seems to be running perfectly fine, and iCUE appears to be working absolutely fine without the service running. Which begs the question... what on earth does the service do other than cause issues?!
  7. I've finally figured out the source of the problem!!! The audio faults are all caused by the "Corsair Gaming Audio Configuration Service" service. (Service name: "CorsairGamingAudioConfig"). 8. 0:00 - 0:30 = Stuttering and popping sounds. 0:40 - 1:02 = No Stutters or popping whatsoever. Can someone please look into fixing this? It's a massive bummer when we invest so much time and money into your awesome products for a simple software glitch to taint it and render iCUE useless. It ruins the immersion, and is very annoying. My example in the video above is a minor instance of it. At times it can be constant. The fact that the problem suddenly appeared with V5 shows SOMETHING must have been changed somewhere for this to occur. I've made attempts at forcing the iCUE 4 audio drivers to run with iCUE 5 software, but it fixed nothing. Many thanks.
  9. Hi there, for quite some time now this has been an issue and there still doesn't yet appear to be a fix. A number of us are getting popping/cracking in numerous games, and sometimes the desktop. Most notibly for me it happens in Microsoft Flight Simulator and Detroit Become Human... though it's irrelevant as it doesn't seem to be game-specific. The problem IMMEDIATELY goes away when you shut down iCue, and immediately returns when you launch it again. This all started following the launch of iCUE 5. Downgrading to iCUE 4 fixes the issue, but the software is arguably outdated now and presents other issues. Whilst closing down iCUE when playing games is a temporary solution, it's far from ideal. There has been another suggested fix... the "Corsair.Service.CpuIdRemote" fix, but it doesn't fix this issue with iCUE 5. - I've since reinstalled Windows (twice) - Issue persists. - I've since upgraded all of my hardware - Issue persists. - My family also experiences the same issues with different games on entirely different computers. - Any quick search on the forums shows this is a widespread problem. Here's a short video demonstrating the issue... the first half is with iCUE 5 open, the second half with it closed...
  10. This is STILL a big issue. Why has this not been fixed?!? I'm getting popping/cracking in Microsoft Flight Simulator aswell I have just discovered. (Been some time since I've played it). It is really prevalent in it. The problem IMMEDIATELY goes away when you shut down iCue, and immediately returns when you launch it again. The aforementioned "Corsair.Service.CpuIdRemote" doesn't fix this issue.
  11. I updated to the new iCUE 5 yesterday and immediately noticed audio crackling/popping in a game I'm currently playing (Detroit Become Human). I'm using an HS60 Haptic headset. I uninstalled it and it's drivers from Device Manager, and uninstalled iCUE 5. I rebooted, installed iCUE 4, and the issue was fixed. Nice clean sound. No issues whatsoever. I repeated the uninstall process to install iCUE 5 again (this time by downloading the installer from the site instead of within iCUE), and the problem came back. I've tried this routine twice, and iCUE 5 always presents audio problems. There is definitely an issue with the new iCUE 5 software/drivers. Interestingly, when you go to Audio Enhancements within Windows / Sound Settings, "Device Default Effects" is selected, and below it says "Corsair Audio Output Effects". Switching this OFF also gets rid of the problem (assuming because it's now using Windows drivers instead of Corsair), however the EQ in iCUE is now unusable. This doesn't happen with all games though, but still, it's definitely a problem.
