zubidoo
I just bought an HX650W for my week-old computer so that I could upgrade to the new Radeon 5970. My new card still hasn't come in, but I replaced the power supply. This new PSU is making my video card SO LOUD when it's running games now! It sounds like my computer is like 150 degrees and is going to blow up! I know it's the PSU because I replaced it with the one that came with my computer to see if it would go back to normal, and now everything is back to being quiet during gameplay and everything. Any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks.

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 6, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 6, 2010 First step is to make sure you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard, and load setup defaults in the BIOS (with the new Corsair PSU installed).
