ragee
Hi there... i recently bought a pair of 1GB Value Select 667MHz memory kit. i pluged them in my ddr2 slots and they work, but i think not at max speed that my MB supports (533). i think it works @ 333MHz. could it be possible? if it could, then why is that? thanks. :)
Yellowbeard
You will need to look at your bios and see if the bios allows you to increase the memory speed.

And with your motherboard you cannot select "333MHz" if you're using DDR2 memory: That setting is only available if you're using DDR1 memory on that motherboard (in this case, it's DDR333/PC2700 speed). The truth is, you can use the VS2GBKIT667D2 kit on your motherboard -- but that memory will only run at the maximum speed that your motherboard's chipset officially supports (in this case, a BIOS-labeled "533MHz"). And that particular motherboard has only two distinct manual memory speed settings, so you cannot fine-tune the memory clock speed.
