lassiterb
I have a set of CM2X512-5400C4 Everything was booting fine one day then the next day it wouldn't boot. Narrowed it down to a memory problem. One module boots and runs fine in the system, the other does not. It appears that one of the modules has gone bad. Motherboard is a Gygabyte GA-8I915P Duo
Yellowbeard
Can you try the suspect module solo in a different slot on the MOBO? Also, you may want to reset CMOS after moving the suspect module. Thanks, Mike.
lassiterb
That's what I did. I tried one module at a time. One of the modules works fine in every DDR2 slot, the other does not work in any slot. Also tried both modules in another motherboard(MSI 925XE Neo) with the same result. The one is just dead. Yellowbeard
Well, let's get it replaced. If it is a TwinX pair please be sure to return both modules. Follow the link for I THINK I HAVE A BAD PART or start a case for RMA through the TSX Tech Support Link. If you use TSX please note that you were referred from the forum. Thanks, Mike.
