With just the other one in the computer runs fine. With both of them in It restarts randomly. Yellowbeard
Test each stick individually with http://www.memtest86.com with the memory voltage at 2.7v - 2.8v. If the suspect stick still tests bad with Memtest I'd suggest you contact RAM GUY or customer service about an RMA. Mike.
dfpc
I will try this and report back. Though I'm pretty much convinced that I'm in need of a new stick of memory because of my initial troubleshooting.
SCSIraidGURU
Did you try relaxing the timing? I found my CM72SD1024RLP-3200 do not show up as 3-3-3-8. They are 2-2-2-6. I can run at 2-2-2-6 @ 333 or 3-3-3-8 @ 400.
dfpc
The current timing works on the stick that is running the machine. relaxing the timing and losing performance is not something I want to do just to make it work. They should work as they were intended.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 1, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 1, 2006 VS512MB400 SPD should be set to Cas 2.5-3-3-8 at DDR400.
dfpc
shouldn't the automatic setting on the motherboard just work fine?
Yellowbeard
It's best to set them manually. Not all bios' will detect/interpret the SPD the same. If you set the manually, you can be certain that the settings are correct. Mike .
