iCUE LS100 - Power Connection

Hello,

I bought the "Smart Lighting Strip Starter Kit", it comes with a AC Power Supply, but I would like to connect the "Smart Lighting Controller" directly to the Motherboard or PSU. Is it possible?

The AC Power Supply output: 5V and 5A

Yes you can, but for this you need a lighting node controller. It usually comes with some AIO coolers or other Corsair lighting products. You can check the Corsair shop for this, although not sure if it’s sold separately. Another option is the Commander Pro or Core, they both have a RGB lighting connection.

So, I have a iCUE 5000X RGB Case ,which contains the fan controllers, as shown in Figure 01.
And I also installed an iCUE H150i ELITE LCD, which comes with a controller as shown in Figure 02.
Is it possible with any of these?

These don’t have the RGB input so it wont work.

The lighting node comes with Lightstrips, which would be useless for you since you’re using the LS100. 
It also comes along in Corsair fan packs (RGB only). Have you bought bundled fan packs before? If so check the box, it will be included. You could use one port from it.

 

Last option is to get the Commander Core XT or Commander Pro. The Pro version is old but has two RGB Led slots while the Core XT is the latest version and has only 1 RGB Led slot. Your choice..
