Corsair Employees Corsair Albert Posted October 8, 2020 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 8, 2020 Hey everyone, Today we’re releasing the MP400 Gen3 PCIe x4 NVMe M.2 SSD. As games continue to increase in sizing, storage drives are filling up faster than ever. Rather than settling with slow storage drives or contemplating which game to uninstall or family memories to delete (shame on you), the MP400 is capable of high performance speeds with large capacity options (1TB, 2TB, 4TB, 8TB). Here are a few quick highlights: Laps ahead in speed than the traditional SATA SSD with up to 3,400MB/s sequential read and 3000MB/s sequential write Futureproof, high-bandwidth performance that is compatible with both PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 interfaces to accommodate your current and future build/laptop Endurance that will reliably store your data through years of use, backed by our comprehensive 5-year warranty Click here for more information. We’ve put together a quick FAQ below. Q: Is there any utility software? A: Yes, there is the CORSAIR SSD Toolbox software available for download and allows advanced drive controls, such as secure erase and firmware updates. Q: How do I know if my system is compatible? A: If your motherboard’s or laptop’s specifications mentions a connector/socket for a Type 2280, PCIe 4.0 x4 or 3.0 x4 M.2 then you are good to go. Q: Do I have to enable anything in BIOS for full speed? A: If your system’s BIOS’ M.2 PCIe Bandwidth Configuration is not automatically set to X4, please set it to X4. Q: Is there any performance difference between using this in a PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 system? A: No, there will not be any performance difference. The MP400 will run just as well in a PCIe 3.0 system as it would in a PCIe 4.0 system due to improved storage logic. Let us know if you guys have any questions or any feedback!
