bsanders03
Does the H150i USB connection have to be plugged into the commander pro for mew to be able to control the RGB and/or temps sensors? Or can it be plugged into one of the open spots on the motherboard?
DevBiker
It can be plugged in to any USB header. CoPro not required.
bsanders03
So how is the RGB controlled without it going thru the commander pro if I just plug it into the motherboard?

c-attack
The USB 2.0 is the connection between the hardware (H150i) and the software environment (iCUE). They have to be physically linked somehow to interact with each other. A H150i or any other "i" cooler will sit there and do its own thing without USB, but you will have no control over it. USB a standardized interface available on every motherboard (the center hub). It could be done with proprietary connections, but that would make people pretty unhappy, even if it did solve a lot of problems.
