Alcasczar
So I have both these coolers, currently there is no temp issues but when installing the backplate to the Mb I felt it to be nerve wracking cause it feels like there is too much play when you're mounting the pump on them. I saw some videos that some guy used some rubbery type washer items around the supplied screws but that to me feels like it would create a gap between the coldplate and CPU IHS resulting in some uncomfortable temps XD. Is there a guide here that will give some pointers? I read the FAQ and it doesn't mention anything about it. Again I am not seeing temp issues I just have a mild concern about it and I only buy ASUS boards and Intel CPUs if that helps :P Thanks!
DevBiker
Hmmm ... I should add this to the FAQ. The play is absolutely, positively, 100% normal. When you tighten the pump head down, there won't be any play.
c-attack
The backplate will always be loose until you tighten down the thumbscrews. Also the backplate’s function is weight distribution, more like hanging a picture than bolting it against the wall.
Alcasczar
Perfect, that's what I was hoping to be the case, thanks Devbiker and c-attack!
