mmfish
I would like to test this power supply (obtained used) with rgb fans commander pro and rgb fan hub. How can I do this outside the case without computer controller of the components. Will it work? Thank you for your help.
DevBiker
You need to jump the power on pins on the PSU to turn it on. There's a plethora of stuff on this on the web ... just seach for "Jump Power Supply" or "PSU Paper Clip Test". You can also buy/make switches. Corsair Employees Corsair Mint Posted September 18, 2018 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 18, 2018 PSU paperclip test is super easy to do and is an excellent way to not only get the PSU to turn on, but it teaches you a great troubleshooting step as well. mmfish
Thank you both for the paper clip test which worked. The power supply has no indication of being on when switched on. An illuminated off on switch would be helpful or LED indicator when on.
