LenyLeninLen
I don't know if this is easily possible, but i would want to remove the 'water/dust resistant' rubber thing, for reasons like custom keycaps, they feel stiff like o-rings that i dislike. I got this idea when i was cleaning my kb and the rubber protector could feel like easy to remove. By the way the LShift's rubber start to rip easily. Corsair Employee Corsair Nick Posted July 26, 2017 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 26, 2017 The rubber guard is permanently attached to ensure no leakage onto the components. If the rubber is ripped, I would contacting our Technical Support staff through the link below, and provide them with photos of the issue. http://support.corsair.com/

Currently i don't have a cellphone right now but if i remove it, will the components be too exposed for anything?
Corsair Employee Corsair Nick Posted July 28, 2017 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 28, 2017 The rubber guard is what protects against water and dust. Without it, your keyboard will be more susceptible to the elements.
LenyLeninLen
So it will be an normal keyboard? By the way can you remove the top plate for easy removal, because there's an crack between the plate and rest?
Toasted
I would not suggest removing the rubber guard as this may void your warranty for the keyboard.
LenyLeninLen
Then i won't. But i'm still searching for a way to make custom keycaps not in contact with the rubber as it feels like o-rings (but it helps for being silent for my family at morning)
