Grakka Posted November 16, 2008 Share Posted November 16, 2008 After having lot of problems with my system, i started to test my memory modules with memtest. I have 4 * CM2X1024-8500C5D (Dominator) running at 2.2V as mentioned on the modules. I've put each module in the same slot of the mainboard (Asus Commando), and 2 came out with lot of errors. Grakka Posted December 2, 2008 Author Share Posted December 2, 2008 I have recieved 2 new Dominators, but those are a newer version (4.1) then those i still have in my pc (1.2) The newer ones run at 2.1V and those i have at 2.2V. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 2, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 2, 2008 With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 or DDR800 and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's really REALLY rare to get a bad RMA replacement, but I think that if you get one off the bat like that, they'll pay for the shipping both ways.
