Grakka
After having lot of problems with my system, i started to test my memory modules with memtest. I have 4 * CM2X1024-8500C5D (Dominator) running at 2.2V as mentioned on the modules. I've put each module in the same slot of the mainboard (Asus Commando), and 2 came out with lot of errors. Can they be replaced ? kind regards, Alex

Grakka
I have recieved 2 new Dominators, but those are a newer version (4.1) then those i still have in my pc (1.2) The newer ones run at 2.1V and those i have at 2.2V. Now what ? Let them all run at 2.1 or at 2.2V? kind regards, Alex
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 2, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 2, 2008 With 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667 or DDR800 and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the NB/MCH/SPP Voltage to +.2 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
Grakka
Did as you told, and got again some errors. I then checked both new rams, with memtest, and 1 of them came out with errors :[pouts:
Wired
I'd call in directly if you can. It's really REALLY rare to get a bad RMA replacement, but I think that if you get one off the bat like that, they'll pay for the shipping both ways.
