phoenix183
Hello, I have a secondary build at home that uses a 2gb Transcend Jetram. I was about to upgrade it to 8GB, and thought I would give Corsair Vengeance a try. I've only used a Corsair Power supply (VS450) before and it has never let me down so far. When I tried using the tool to check for compatibility of the RAM, I couldn't find the Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2H motherboard in it. Will Corsair Vengeance CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 (4 GB, 1600Mhz, 9 9 9 24, DDR3) be supported in this motherboard? (Heads up: I know the mobo will only support upto 1333Mhz, but those are even more expensive than the 1600 and 1866 versions. So I plan to buy one of these and downscale operating frequency or if possible, use the bios to overclock them to the matching frequencies) Or is there no Corsair RAM to be used with this mobo? Current Build: --------------- Intel G2020, 2.9GHz Processor Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2H Mobo (Dual-Channel Support, 4 RAM Slots, Max 16GB, 1.5V) Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD Corsair VS450 PSU Transcend JetRAM JM1333KLN-2G (9 9 9 24, 1333, DDR3)
