Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted October 19, 2014 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 19, 2014 You cannot control the fan in the RM at all. Given your components listed in your PC Specs list, it would seem to me that you'd never push that PSU to the point where it would turn the fan on either. If you use Link to monitor the +12V rail, you'll see how low your actual power consumption is.

Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted October 20, 2014 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 20, 2014 really? how is it possible that its not controllable?!... LOL! What??!? No PSU would have a controllable fan unless it had a software interface for the fan like the HXi or AXi. It's a PSU with a Zero RPM mode. The fan isn't supposed to turn on until load and/or temperature hit a certain threshold. You should really know what you're buying before you buy it. The Zero RPM mode is a very important feature for someone who wants a quiet PC. thank god i was still able to return the RM and buy a better PSU... Corsair should stick to RAM and maybe cases.. Since when is whether the fan spins at low loads or not an indicator of quality? It sounds like you're just a troll. If that's the case, I'll make sure the admins ban your IP address.
