H100i Elite Capellix No Longer Appears After Failed Firmware Update

So I bought this about a week ago, been enjoying all the RGB stuff I can do to it, but then I see a notification in the iCUE software for a firmware update. Though it wasn't forced, I decided to click it anyway.

And now my H100i Elite Capellix no longer appears in the software, and I cannot manually flash it because you didn't provide the firmware in your software downloads tab.

 

So now what do I do?

I just purchased this exact model a few days ago as well. Everything you described happened exactly the same way. Tried to update firmware, failed, disappeared after second attempt.

 

I didn’t have time to screw around with it so I shut my system down and have not been back to it yet.

 

I would really like some clarification/help from Corsair. I installed this per the installation instructions.

 

Did you figure anything out?

I think you guys need to contact Corsair Support. The ticket system link is in the header above. There isn’t anything we can do for you on this end.

 

The pump never shuts off, so that part is OK. However, your fans might be maxed out and that’s too much. You can disconnect them from the Commander Core and move to the MB if that is true. Other users have reported the device picture changes from the pump head to the Com Core when this happens, so hopefully that means you retain fan and lighting control.

After I attempted to update firmware the second time I lost control of the pump and fans. I have the CPU cooler wires through the commander core (only way to install) and I have 3 additional ML120 Pro RGB fans all plugged into the commander core as well. Everything is lit and spinning. I was able to view the fans and pump under settings, but my dashboard does not show the liquid cooler.

 

Information I was seeing was indicating the fans were spinning around 1600-1700 RPM.

 

I opened a ticket with support and i am still waiting to hear back from them. Idk if OP ever heard back or not.

If you guys have Gigabyte boards, the RGB fusion program screws with the cooler and causes it to not update. When I close it out, the update works fine.

This worked 100% RGB fusion was acting weird as it was so I just removed the program entirely. Upon restarting and opening iCue I was able to get the firmware update to complete and bam! My cooler was back in my dashboard with full control.

Okay here is the reply they sent me in a ticket that worked for me.

 

1.Open your computer's Control Panel.

2.Open the Programs and Features options.

3.Select Corsair Utility Engine in the list, and then select Uninstall.

4.Press Window Key + R to open the Run command.

5.Type %appdata% and press Enter.

6.Delete any Corsair folders in the window that pops up.

7. Return to the Run window and type %localappdata%.

8. Delete any Corsair folders in the window that pops up.

9. Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\.

10. Delete any Corsair folders in that folder.

11. Type Regedit in the Run window and then click OK.

12. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ and delete the Corsair folder.

13. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ and delete the Corsair folder.

14. Restart your computer.

15. Download a new installer file for iCUE from Corsair.com and reinstall.

 

 

Oh and BTW, it happened when I tried updating it again...

The failed update was most likely caused by a conflict with another device or program using your USB Controller while the update was running.

 

Please unplug all USB devices other than Mouse/Keyboard/Cooler, and close all background tasks before starting any firmware updates. This includes any RGB Lighting, Hardware Monitoring, and Overclocking programs. A few examples are RGB Fusion, Aura Sync, Dragon Center, HWinfo64, Aida64, Ryzen Master.

 

I dont have any other RGB programs.

I submitted a ticket yesterday about my bricked h100i.. do you guys ever reply?
