  1. Should have gotten the SE's... they default to 8 channel every time you start up the computer! Or turn them on. Or just randomly while you're using it. You'll be begging for stereo... but you'll never get it!! If you're desperate for JK 8 channels... just send the XT's back and get the SE's. They're the same speakers anyway.
  2. Surely this guy's just ranting to rant. There's no way that happens. 1 hour later... on the entire time. Neither computer nor headset went to sleep.
  3. Hey Corsair! Wanna say a big thank you for continuing to ignore this post. It's very classy. I thoroughly enjoy going into control panel and switching these stereo headphones from 8 channel to 2 channel every time I turn them on... walk away from them for too long... use them for too long... you know, common scenarios people might find themselves in when using a wireless headset for a PC. Extra kudos for causing games to crash, microphone going out on Discord despite being "certified", audio going out on Discord despite being certified, and my entire computer locking up from time to time. I'm sure it's tough - you don't make too many headsets... so you're probably struggling to figure this out for the past 4-5 years. But hey - at least you can sync my LEDs!! And you got that mural function in iCUE so I can do custom backgrounds. Some top-notch engineers over there for sure. Next patch notes - "minor fixes and new icon choices for iCUE". Slowly replacing this garbage. Just bought a standalone mic and a new pair of headphones since these can't be trusted to perform even basic functionality. Bit of good news though - removing the microphone extends battery life significantly. So you'll have more opportunities between charges to lose audio or crash your system!!! 🙂
  4. @Wendella Just curious to know if you indeed had the same issue the rest of us are experiencing. Have you checked to see if your headset was set to 8 channels? Everytime I turn on my headset I have to switch it before listening to anything. And I also have to restart discord from time to time... not to mention the strange issues with the mic giving out over and over. Even as I write this... I'm seeing it has switched itself back to 8 channel AGAIN!! I walked away for 2 minutes and the headset is programmed NOT to sleep ever to help avoid this issue... which explains why YouTube has been so quiet the past couple videos. This is just maddening.
  5. Sounds a lot like it's going into 8 channel mode. Things are quiet... sound way off. Check out the thread below. No fix from Corsair after years. Please post in that thread... maybe someone will notice from Corsair. They'll probably blame it on Windows... but a different forum post and similar post on Reddit both prove out that this is an iCUE problem. As far as the mic goes - drives me nutty. I have the Virtuoso SE and the mic is constantly failing in Discord. Always have to switch between default device and the Corsair to get it to come back. And you never know unless you're staring at your own icon light up or if someone mentions you're being quiet. Incredible for a product that's been out for 3-4 years and still has all these issues.
  6. Any updates Corsair? I know it's only been four years since you released this headset, so I'm sure you need more time to really deliver an update here.
  7. Is this ever going to get fixed. There are multiple other posts showing you that if we simply uninstall iCUE and let Windows install generic drivers... the issue never happens. This is only when iCUE is running and the Corsair drivers specifically are installed. Don't blame Windows. How on earth has this been happening for years??? Blows my mind you would continue to sell this product without any fix. Do you have any idea how obnoxious it is to leave the sound panel open and constantly switch between 8 channel and 2 channel simply because the headset went to sleep? Or I was charging it? The change in the situation needs to happen with Corsair. And it needs to happen now. Really wish I had seen this issue before purchasing these things.
