  1. It is the janky software and USB connection if you just bought it, replace the unit with another manufacturer with only the AIO header connectors. All your problems go away or after a few RMAs
  2. OK, Thanks, I guess. Since, there are no real solutions anywhere on here, as you demonstrate. The unit will be return to the vendor for replacement with a quality unit without all the problems that have existed for years on these.
  3. I do have a couple of profiles and all that nonsense that shouldn't have anything to do with an AIO to function, but it seems it is just junk. It has the same software hangs and disconnects that have been posted here since 2019. Bestbuy in Summerfield, FL will have an open box deal come Monday. Problem Solved.
  4. Glad, I found this thread to screenshot for my return reason to BesyBuy on Monday. I was going to try to work with this thing, but while this junky H100i Elite is still able to be exchanged easily for a quality unit is a no brainer. After much research, which I admit I should have done up front, instead of trusting a brand, I found that this unit has nothing but troubles between the janky software and USB bugs (going back years). The only one I found that actually uses such a poorly thought out and implemented 'feature' of an AIO is almost comical. Lucky, I dodged a bullet on this one. Too bad I have to waste a bunch of my time with the tear down and replacement.
  5. Sorry, in regards to your own pump with an LCD. Iif you are going to try and 'split' the plug like me. You will just want to first count the wires in both plugs. I haven't seen both, but i highly suspect it uses the same aRGB interface. If not, it is generated in the USB connection and you will need to still use the core for the LCD interface and just pass that part through. If you need plugs other than the proprietary pump one I use Digikey.com. I was so excited I forgot to offer what little I could. Thanks again.
  6. You are awesome man! I am an electrical engineer, but wasn't willing to experiment, so my problems are solved. I was about to take it out and back to exchange while I can. I will just fix the pump. Thanks again.
  7. That is a pretty simple and useless answer. Really? Can you ask someone to provide a pin out (that is a diagram showing what wires in the plug go to) of the pump plug? I will make it work.
  8. Frankly, I don't care what the lighting does in hardware mode after the software fails to do whatever, or in this case went to sleep. It is acting as an alarm that the iCue software is not connected or working. The actual problem is more fundamental to what the product is suppose to do, in that I mean act as a variable speed CPU cooler. I looked again and I just do not see away to keep the fan and pump speed from ramping up when it goes to sleep. Am I missing something?
  9. Just a shot in the dark to get rid of the core commander. I don't care about the lighting at all, so is it possible to get a pump plug to AIO 4 pin converter, and one for the fans to a normal fan headers to just abandon the core commander and lighting entirely, it is nothing but problems. If not consider this a recommendation for Corsair to maybe solve some of the iCue issues. Just allow them to be connected normally without lights.
  10. I had this issue on a new build with similar specs. Asus ROG STRIX B550-f, AMD 5800X, etc.. I see mention directly above this one about the Armoury Crate software from Asus and AMD Catalyst front end seem to all conflict for me. I set the option in the bios not to install crate and utilities programs (on by default). I installed windows 10 home and all updates, MB drivers only, AMD catalyst for 6600 driver only installation and now it seems to operate fine(so far). No more crashes or hangs of the system or the iCue software. I now have a problem that having the unit controlled by a USB port does not allow it to go to sleep cleanly as far as I can tell. I think I am going to have to setup a shutdown task to shut the system down to keep the silly thing out of over revved hardware mode. I will never purchase an AIO with a separate controller again it seems to just be a poor idea and poorly implemented in this case. I wish I could just plug it into the AIO/fan headers on the board. I actually thought the commander core was strictly an RGB controller to sync with the Asus MB Auro lighting. I wish that were the case It would have solved all my problems, PLUS I could dual boot Linux again without such huge to the point of not being worthwhile headaches.
  11. Hello all, I just got this AIO and I admit it is the first build I have made using one. The unit works fine so far when iCue is running. I have a couple of profiles that serve my purposes so far. The problem I am having now is when the PC goes to sleep the cooler goes into hardware mode, I think. It runs much faster (pump & fans) and the lighting starts doing the rainbow thing. What do others do to keep the iCue hub running or change the coolers default/disconnected behavior while in sleep? I have had issues with other monitoring programs that came with the new Asus mother board causing conflict problems to the point of a total format/reinstall minus everything except drivers for the board, graphics, and then iCue. Like I said now it SEEMS to be running fine no more random disconnects and hangs. This sleep issue I can't seem to figure out. Thanks, Tom Budget Gamer: System specs - Asus Rog Strix B550F MB, AMD 5800X CPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 DDR4, RX 6600 8Gb, Thermatake Toughpower 850 P/S, Windows 10 Home.
