It's soon to be our most favorite day of the season! It's Halloween time and I want to know what are your most dreadful, scary and spookiest experiences when making or maintaining your PC?

Also I want to see some spooky setups and the stories behind them!

For me, my most scariest time was when I actually dropped my PSU on the floor (yes, I know that doesn't seem like much but still - it was connected to something so the electricity was still running through it you know!)

    o7 (salute) all.

I've been a user of iCue for a long time, since times before they added "i" before "Cue" actually. However, it is only in recent times that they have started supporting plugins. To this there are a few things that could've made it better. Here's my suggestions for things to change or add:

    • Option to load unsigned/custom plugins without having to modify "dsound.dll". It has it's dangers, sure, but it would allow for many great integrations with lots of diffetent hardware and software.
    • Option to either prevent installation of selectable plugins during setup/update, or disable plugins that are not needed, perhaps via a menu similar to the "Software and Games" tab?
    • Remembering user changes of service settings. Example: Disabling the MSI Plugin Service should keep it disabled after a software update.

Regarding other QoL changes I'd also love to see be implemented/added (outside the scope of plugins):

    • Allowing us to rename devices without having to manually edit the "config.cuecfg" file. Also fix remembering these names on reboot for plugin devices.
    • Allowing us to hide the "Scenes" section of the home page. I'd rather see the sensors get more space without having to open the dashboard, since I don't use scenes.
    • Allowing us to save Equalizers in a method similar to "Lighting Library", since you can't copy Equalizers between profiles except if you clone a profile.
    • Allowing us to have separate equalizers for multiple devices. The equalizer I run with sounds great on my Void Pro USB, but on my HS70 Pro Wireless it has too much bass. I switch between the two often due to VR. So, a different equalizer per device instead of one for all would be great.
    • Allowing us to rearrange the devices on the home page.
    • Linux support. I know there's already a thread for it, but it deserves to be said once more.

I hope the fine folks at Corsair sees this and take atleast a few of them into concideration. So far it's been a great software, especially with version 4, but I believe that these changes would make it that much better.

    Cheers. 🙂

This is an interesting one. These headphones work just fine for Zoom, Discord, Microsoft Apps, OBS Studio, etc. But when it comes to Microsoft Teams, it does not work.

    image.png.6262af3dec85205a6dd883145ba220dd.png

No matter what, despite it working EVERYWHERE in Windows, even on a fresh installation of Windows 11 (which I did JUST for this scenario test) this headset is simply not compatible. I don't even know where to start looking for how to correct it.

This is Microsoft Teams for work. The standalone installed "Teams_windows_x64.exe", not the built-into-Windows11 teams (confusing).

https://teams.microsoft.com/ interestingly enough works just fine. Obviously that's routing through the Google Chrome browser, but still. Proof of concept is everywhere, so something is definitely jacked with the desktop app of Microsoft Teams + this device. They hate each other.

    Thoughts?

    image.png

Hey jackharvest! Oof! I think I just had this problem on my work laptop where it was working everywhere except Teams but this may be due to the updated privacy settings on Windows or some kind of other voice program interfering (like VoiceMod or another updated program etc). So disclaimer from me - not sure if its a Windows 11 thing but this happened to me and I'm on Windows 10. Besides checking/updating your microphone drivers - I went to the Microsoft website and followed these instructions (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/my-microphone-isn-t-working-in-teams-666d1123-9dd0-4a31-ad2e-a758b204f33a)

    Check your app permissions

You might need to change one of your privacy settings. Here's how to check:

    Open Settings

    Under Privacy, select Microphone

Make sure the setting for Microphone access for this device is turned On

If the setting is already turned on, turn the setting off then back on again

Close all apps and restart your device

Basically I found out that I turned off the permission. I have OBS too so I'm sure that wasn't interfereing with it. I also made sure to check other programs including Java and that I'm sure I can rule that out.

I hope this helps because I'm sure it's not anything external which means your Void headset. Let me know if this works out - if not then please don't hesitate to contact our support.

Hello, when will a Corsair loyalty program !!!!!!! ..

Kind like msi games offered goodies .

Hey liwoo, just wanting to make sure I understand your question/statement since its in French. I don't want to move it to another place on the forums since the comment can get lost that way - normally I would since it's initially in the wrong place but its OK for now because I want to answer your question. But yes, we totally hear those comments and are listening to your feedback. Having a loyalty program is definitely one of those suggestions we get a lot.

  7. Hey there frchguy, I apologize for the late reply. I'm hoping that because it's only been almost a month since you posted this issue, you may have the ability to return it to the reseller for another entire/same product replacement. If not, I'll look into this issue for you as well. Also, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support as we get many issues like these coming in - https://www.corsair.com/us/en/contact

  8. Hey TheBerean, I'm sorry you are having trouble. Can you reply back here with the fan models as well as iCUE software version you are running? What Windows are you running (10/11)? Besides suggesting a hard/forcing a firmware update which I believe you already did and a clean reinstall of everything - I will try to help you here. Remember, you can always reach out to our support as well.

  9. Hey G-Man-Gaming, you're definitely on the right, just wanting to make sure I'm not missing anything on your post because I don't see anything in this second square under your PCPartPicker link. Do you have Discord? I know sometimes asking for imagery help on the forums take a while but I know I recently saw many of our users posting images of their 6+ and above fan setups - https://discord.com/invite/corsair. If you're still having trouble, please feel free to reach out to our support as well.

    Hi Corsair,

Before the recent update, the keyboard's default lighting scheme (the one it shows when icue is not loaded yet) was a very pretty yellow/orange/brown. I liked it. But with the latest update, it's now gone. The keyboard only shows the M1 key white now.

Months ago, there was a lighting scheme where WASD was colored red, where most of the keyboard was lighting up another color.

I'd like to download those default lighting schemes and use them. Are they available somewhere?

    Sincerely,

    Jay

Hey Jay27, what kind of keyboard model do you have and what version of iCUE are you running?

Hi, so im building a PC right now.

it comes with the H150i Pro XT.

    i orderd 3 RGB fans aswell 2x 140mm LL RGB and 1x 120mm RGB.

do i need a Commander PRO for them so they light RGB and can i see what temperature they have?

or do i need the LED hub aswell?

i really dont understand why they make this so hard, it makes me so mad.

i would like to simply just buy the COMMANDER PRO even if it costs more just so that i can set the RGB, see the Temp and all that.

is that all possible just with the Commander PRO? and do i need to connect the H150i PRO XT to the Commander PRO aswell?

in total there will be 6 FANS with the H150i Fans.

    thank you for your help!

Adding a Lighting Node CORE controller would be an ideal solution if you need to connect more than six RGB fans. The COMMANDER CORE controller would also work, too.

But yes, the iCUE Commander PRO Smart RGB Lighting and Fan Speed Controller only has two (2) RGB Lightening Channels and it looks like you do need more channels etc.

I'm sorry it can get frustrating, it was definitely frustrating for me too as an intern!

Also, you will need to use iCUE to deal with the RGB lights customization and for monitoring the temperatures.

I hope this helps and if you need any more help - you can also contact our support.

    Best, Corsair Angie

I have also had similar issues with audio cracking with my virtuoso, and it has been going on since the final update of v3 came out before the release of v4, there has been moments that it worked for a few hours, but it mostly cracks and it's not like I have stressed the audio drivers as I rarely raise the volume above 14%.

I hope they fix this amongst all the other issues. :sigh!:

Hello Adargi, please make sure to update to the latest iCUE software version.

Hey, i've bought an Corsair Virtuoso Yesterday as i wanted a headset that could be used both wired and wireless and charged while wired and the Virtuoso was the best option i've had on my webstore, problem is, the headset does not pair with the dongle, they do pair for a moment, then they never pair again, by investigating iCue it seems that the headset is using the version 17.149 but the dongle is on v.16.80 and it won't update any further, is there a fix for this situation can someone send me matching firmware files for the headset and dongle so i can force install them?

    Hello AnnoyedToast,

My suggestion is forcing a firmware update to both devices or performing a soft reset, then attempting to see if pairing maintains. If you're still experiencing trouble, please reach out to our support - https://help.corsair.com.

I received a notification out of nowhere from Windows saying a new audio device called conexant usb audio had been detected and was being set up. Immediately I noticed my sound quality got worse and my hs60 headset no longer appeared in icue. I tried multiple solutions such as repairing the icue software, resetting my PC, unplugging and re-plugging the USB adapter, and manually setting the device drivers but to no avail.

My headset had been working perfectly fine for almost a year up until now, so this whole situation is really frustrating.

    Will I need this for a 10 year old Corsair HX1050 PSU powering 28x  RGB Pro Strips (280 LEDS) and 2x 140cm (84 LEDS each ), 2x 45cm (27 LEDs each), 2x 25cm (15 LEDs each) LS100 strips = 532 Addressable RGB LEDs ???

    Serious question!

Hey Ca1ibos, ideally while it would work in theory and put less of a strain on the load - my worry is more on your PSU and that being it's 10 years old 😞 My best suggestion would be to contact our support for more help as well. I believe many here on the forums would also suggest in getting a newer PSU to go with the Load Balancer just so the output is safer and consistent.

This is great, its exactly what I need for my upcoming build, as I will be running a lot of RGB fans and components.   How do I go about purchasing it, as I am in Australia and the list of "Find a Retailer" on the product page, only lists US stores that do not ship to Australia.

Am I able to purchase it directly from you and have you ship it to Australia ?

Hey Momo-70, please refer to this link https://www.corsair.com/us/en/where-to-buy - Australia and hopefully your particular area will be covered.
