Maximus VI Gene 32 GB Corsair????

I'm building a new Haswell with all Corsair parts:

 

Asus Maximus Vi Gene/4770K CPU

RM850 PS

Neutron GTX 256 GB (x2, RAID 0)

H100i Water Cooler

Obsidian 550 Quiet case

 

I want 32 GB of memory BUT I can only put:

Vengeance™ Memory — 32GB 1866MHz CL9 DDR3 (CMZ32GX3M4A1866C9)

 

as that is the only 32 GB compatible memory that the memory configurator says works in this mobo. Really? I wanted everything connected with Corsair Link so I want Dominator Platinum. I cannot believe it doesn't work.

 

I hope someone can tell me that the corsair website is out of date or something. Really sad if it does not work.

No , that is just the only kit that ASUS tested. That doesn't mean there are not other kits that are compatible. Same goes for Corsairs own memory finder. They test a certain amount of kits , but they just can't test them all. But even the ones that are not tested are still compatible.

 

Having said that you can use any of the Vengeance, Vengeance Pro, or Dominator Platinum kits with that MB. They all would be 100% compatible.

I'm running Dominator Platinum in my Asus Maximus VI Formula right now. They're compatible with Haswell.
